What furs dont know or want to know of CSI fur and Lothei...
Its been almost 21 years now since that show first aired. There are things that the furs of today and the furs back then did not want to see.
I was a real green newbie back then as I had only had found the fandom a couple of months earlier so I had eyes to see what furs who have been around longer did not see or want to see.
I remember all the hoopla from the SCI episode Fur and Loathing from furries when the show first came out. What so many furs now days don't know and many furs back then did not realize was that show brought in SO MANY new furries who would have never learned that the furry fandom actually existed as being on line other than simple things like E mail was really not all that common back then. Many people did not even own a computer yet let alone have access to fast internet as many people who had internet where still using dialup with their computers. On top of having to own a computer and having a fast internet connection finding things on the internet was not as easy as it is today as search engines where no where as good back then as they are today and social media was in its extreme infancy as message board where just about it. If the message board was popular you could miss a great deal as you just deleted e-mils as you just did not have the time to read them all. as for looking for something specific you had to go from web page to web page.
I owned a simple used computer for playing video games back then but I did not have an internet connection. I learned about people that like running around in animal costumes from the television and finding this animal costuming fandom was what made me to get an internet connection.
It took years for the people who learned of furry from the SCI fur and loathing to hit the fandom's radar as they did not all just start attending conventions where they could be counted. But after CSI aired furry convention attendance really stared to grow with new conventions being added from the new furs so they can have conventions closer to them..

It's like most of the sci-fi things that I grew up are bursting through the boundaries, suddenly. The computers are being pushed towards being smart. The cars are driving themselves. And let's not leave out flying. Science is making more discoveries than ever. Growing brains. Military makes advanced weapons with lasers. Robots are giving walking tours of Japan. They are interfacing the brain with electronics. That orbital telescope may have discovered a world that has illumination... and maybe cities about four-plus light years away. This Elon Musk guy just figured out the Warp Drive and successfully tested it. Just to talk about the tip of this new age iceberg. And happening around a world that's about to go mad with wars between many nations.
I've always dreamt of taking it past heavily carpeted costumes... if the process was two way. Given what things could happen at any given month, we might actually see it long before the year 3000.

A show named The Outer Limits, which thinks about all things science fiction, makes a good point about Human Hybrids. In one episode, aliens kidnap a small selection of Humans from one era and put them in suspended animation, returning them to a future Earth. One that had conducted many great feats, including Human Hybrids. Its point is very possible and one to think about. In the episode, people fell in love with the idea of upgrading their bodies. Some with animal features. And in the act of tinkering with DNA, they created chain reactions. The main one factored in by making everyone impotent. And the show ended with the kidnapped selection finding a monument to the foolish decisions of the Human race, made by its final generations.
Great thing, science fiction is. Gives us all the freedom to think about the good things that could exist in the future. Or the bad.
Still, I can fantasize about it being a good thing.

Seeing as how this Elon Musk guy supposedly just made the Warp Bubble work... Intergalactic planet works just as well.
There is no such thing as faster than light travel such things will always be fiction as its not physically possible.
And here is an excellent reason why all the news casts aren't stating how we just had our own Zefram Cochrane day event. I imagine that any government types that are chummy with Elon would instantly want him to stay rather hush-hush about making such a founding discovery. For any useful technology like that can also make next gen warfare real. Imagine... Warp missiles. Just open the silo doors, traditionally launch to about several feet above service, "Picard maneuver" into orbit, re-aim and warp into unwanted nation with about a thousand other such missiles. To the first nation with such "microwave" speeds at starting... and ending a war... they would become literal mortal gods. Truly is the best of times; the worst of times.
Here are some reasons why nothing can travel faster than the speed of light:
Infinite energy
It would take an infinite amount of energy to accelerate a material object to the speed of light.
Time and space
As an object approaches the speed of light, time slows and space shrinks, making it impossible to go faster.
However, there are some exceptions:
Light in a medium
Light can travel faster than the speed of white light in a medium, such as water or glass. This is because different colors of light travel at different speeds. For example, rainbows have red wavelengths at the top and violet wavelengths at the bottom.
High energy particles
High energy particles can travel faster than light in a medium, and create a cone of radiation called Cherenkov radiation. Cosmic rays are subatomic particles created in powerful events like galaxy mergers and hypernovae.
This would not be the first time that he was caught running his mouth where he cant put up what his mouth was running.
Oh... and speaking of running his mouth off... I saw an actual CyberTruck driving down the street the other day. Lord how that thing ever qualified to be street legal. It looked like an aluminum can on wheels. I just couldn't help but smirk at how awful the thing looked.
So are walking, talking robots. And yet...

I also believe that he is highly motivated to get off of this planet as quickly as possible. He's making robots to build his colony. He's making mobile housing to rapidly raise his Mars cities. He's testing cars for rapid transport in his future Mars cities. And I do believe that he would break the known facts of science to get his plans going.
