Do You Have a Hard Drive for an IBM Thinkpad T23? Can I have it?
... Okay you don't have to just give it to me, but how much do you want?
Because mine is failing. Got bad sectors and I can't repair 'em.
I use it for all my programming. Yes I know it's a dinosaur!
If you have a cheap laptop for sale I'd consider that too. Make me an offer!

Some tradeoffs to look at are price/rpm/speed/battery. Lower RPM drives are slightly cheaper and use less battery power, but they're usually slower to read/write, too. (I've heard particularly good things about the Samsung HM160HC drive, being single platter it's more reliable, and although it's 5400 rpm it has a transfer rate comparable to most 7200 rpm drives.)
