I know I just posted about Valentine's commissions... well scrap that, because I'm now doing 25% OFF ALL COMMISSIONS!!

Why? Well the short of it is, I have car issues which aren't worth fixing so have to find myself another car. Having stripped my savings account for that purpose, I have no idea if I'm going to be able to afford my next set of bills or food purchases etc. I've honestly never been in a "I'm not sure if I'll be able to afford to buy food" situation before. So it's pretty scary. I'm not begging for sympathy commissions, I just thought that if things are on sale, people will be getting a good deal so I may be inclined to receive more. I don't even care if you only buy a 25% off head sketch, everything helps!

How to get one:
- Note me, e-mail me azerane[at]hotmail.com (where [at] = @ ), post a comment, whatever!
- Payment is paypal only
- Anything PG13 or tasteful/artistic nudity
- Animals/wildlife, anthros, fantasy animals, no humans.

PRICES: Take 25% off the total price of your piece from the list below. Eg. If you want two characters coloured with a background, normally $50. Minus 25% comes to $37.50!!!

How to calculate 25% discount using $50 example: 50 x 25 = 1250 / 100 = 12.5 (this is 25% of 50) So... 50 - 12.5 = $37.50

My journal was three years old, I figured it was time for an update xD

I haven't got a whole lot to say except that yes, I am still around. Currently FA tends to be the last site that I post on art-wise in a line of three. So it's not that I'm not drawing, it's simply that sometimes I just don't quite make it here.

In regards to art, yes there is some coming. I actually did a series of sketchy pictures for advent, but they mainly went over to the Lion King Fan-art Archive. I may share a couple here. There are also a few secret santa pics and things that I'll share too, so expect a trickle of uploads to begin.

It's certainly been quite some time since I've been around, a whole 6 months or so in fact. Real life has thrown in a few dramas this year, just to keep it exciting and I think I just needed to prioritise my life a bit and sort things out before I could get back into the swing of things.

I've been drawing again, which is good. A few things in the works, a bit of fan-art, some gift art etc. Hopefully some more original art in the works soon. Thanks for all the watches, fav's and comments during my absence, I wish I had the time to reply to them all.

Hope to be more active and hope to see you guys around. Bring on 2011!

In other news, my cat Sparks has been really ill for the past couple of weeks and she's finally starting to get better, eating better etc, tis good =3

So, I missed it last year and have just been reminded of it this year and so am considering attending MiDFur. The cost is of course going to be the big issue, as it's no doubt going to cost me more to go than any money I'm going to make if I get a place in the dealers den or sell some stuff at the art show, unless I'm really, really lucky =P

I am very interested in going though, and I'd likely hope to make it cheaper by sharing hotel accomodation with someone... though in seperate beds. lol, I'm not one of those people who can share a queen/whatever size bed with people, unless I've known them for a long time and am super close. But it's only $10 more a night for a room with two queens instead of one, so it's definitely an option, providing I can find someone I'm comfortable to share with.

At this stage, it's a bit up in the air, but I am keen to go. I make enough money to be able to afford it, however I'm terrible at saving and I've just spent approx. $500 on vet bills, will soon have some dentist bills, and I'm trying to save up for a 6 month trip to the U.S for early next year. Early registration closes end of June I think, get my first June paycheck tomorrow so if I can work out a good system I'm saving, which I should have done already, I should be able to figure it out.

Anyway, just voicing my thoughts on MiDFur =)

My apologies for my recent inactivity, mostly to those who are awaiting commissions from me. Your sketches have been on somewhat of a hiatus when I had a couple of days in a row where anything I was drawing, turned out terrible. Following that, I've had problems with my elbow again on my drawing arm. If it's acting up, it tends to hurt when I draw and my hand cramps from holding a pencil. It seems to be feeling a bit better today though, so I should be back on track over the weekend.

Otherwise, I've been getting up earlier in the mornings and going for a bike ride every morning (it's made me feel a lot better), partly because I love it, and partly because I love birdwatching. So I've been taking my camera out with me and I've been seeing all sorts of cool birds. There's been a couple of days when I've seen 4 species of woodpecker on one ride. I love woodpecker birds, they're beautiful. So far I've seen the Downy, the Red-bellied, the Yellow-bellied Sapsucker and the Pileated. I've also seen a Hairy woodpecker a couple of months back, so 5 woodpecked species is quite the acheivement for me. My favourite is definitely the Pileated though. They are such beautiful birds. I haven't managed a really good photo of one yet, but I've got some decent ones. I've actually kind of been wanting to have an animal journal on my livejournal page too... but I don't want to mix the art and the animal photo stuff.. I dunno. Also, despite how common and conspicuous they are. Blue Jays have been proving most elusive to photograph. Either they're too far away or constantly moving etc. I will get them though... I'm determined.

...next week. Uni, that is. I'm excited about it and somewhat horrified by the amount of work that I know is going to be involved, but it will be fun all the same. It's my very last semester too so it will be incredibly exciting to actually be a Uni graduate! =D

Otherwise, nothing much is happening, because of Uni, commissions are closed, I still have a couple I have to finish up as well. So hopefully I'll get them done.
