Sorry for not like posting any art for like 2 months straight. Not to get political on a furry website but between my health being a bit so-so and America threatening to annex my country (on top of its generally increasingly fashy behavior) I have not been super in the mood to draw. I'm going to try to fix that going forward. I plan to get some character design work done for my game idea, maybe do a second pass on René's design, do some more creature design work, etc...

Like I have ideas for what to draw its just hard to get in the headspace for it.

Hey there folks, since 2017 I've been tempted to jump back into making fakemon because that's a thing I used to do a lot in my younger years (well before even joining any social media websites). After much deliberation I decided I want to take that plunge but there's a snag to it: because my health is so... sketchy I almost certainly will be not be able to produce regular artwork alongside that (like this is definitely going to slow down regular toony furry nonsense).
The other snag is because Pokemon is not an 18+ brand and this account is I'm not fully comfortable posting those designs here. I just don't want to attract teens to a gallery that has a few dicks in it (on top of my favs being absolutely chalk full of porn lmao).

So basically if this account gets super duper inactive that's why. Its not because I'm dead (I hope at least!) or I got chased off the internet (again hopefully!) or anything else actually dreadfully awful like that. I'm just a ex-pokemon artist that wants to explore that aspect of myself again.

I'm not accusing anyone of being a predator here or anything so please don't turn this into discourse but I've increasingly gained a complete lack of tolerance for viewing "feral porn". Like I can deal with all sorts of bizarre content coming out of ya'll but some stuff makes me personally deeply uncomfortable/nauseated to the point if you draw it regularly I will have to unfollow you for my own mental wellness.

I've been rather ill for the last week so I haven't drawn any art so I plan to make my next thing a project I've wanted to do for a few years but hadn't had time. Basically for Halloween I want to make some like proper scary creature designs, I may post them here with some time of content warning since that's so different from my usual work it may be like... offputting to suddenly have some bizarre body horror creatures instead of cute animal characters in your notifications. Hopefully no one minds too much.

I'm just going to write a little PSA on my frontpage about not being comfy with minors following this account. I mean I do like 99% draw SFW stuff but when I do have a rare horny moment it does get posted here and I just don't trust that teens are going to set up their account in a way that it won't be viewable.

I went back an edited my old nsfw ref to Glowene to better clarify stuff but to reiterate here I am absolutely not ok with people commission nsfw/violent art of him OR drawing fanart of him that's nsfw or violent without asking first.

Some dude on Twitter (albeit he's pull this stunt on here too with another artist) is trying to get violent fetish revenge porn drawn on Glowene and like... don't. Its not traumatizing for me its frustrating just to see my sona used that way, he was created with my own personal exploration in mind. As much as I don't mind bringing other people with me on that journey it has to be done on my terms otherwise you're violating my trust and my consent.

I imagine I'm largely preaching to the choir here but this is more aimed at the possibility someone this assholes just hired manages to come across this gallery. Between the old as shit nsfw ref getting a brand new paragraph explaining that piece existed FOR WHEN I COMMISSION PEOPLE and this journal it should be obvious how much permission you don't have to draw this specific character in this specific way.

Got a sketchy DM about someone supposedly stealing my art and I ain't clicking on that super suspicious link but it did make me think about like... how to address that.

If you ever see someone stealing my art on another site and want to tell me via DM please list the following info:
- The name of the website (so I can make sure its legit).
- The username of who stole it.
- If they have contact info that would allow me to communicate with them on a website I currently use.

Listing this stuff just eases my stress a lot. I've dealt with enough attempts to compromise my account over the last 15 or so years I've been using websites like this one I'm just... more comfortable now with being able to manually search out users instead of clicking a link that may send me who knows where.

Assuming I do have an audience (hello) just a small update: I decided I do want to focus a bit more on regular anthro art instead of kaiju designs. For a couple of years I've wanted to created a regular cast of animal OCs and draw them just doing wholesome nonsense with no grander intention like making say a graphic novel or video game with them. My New Years resolution this year was to put other things aside and get that started.

Basically the character I just posted tonight called Verta is part of that group. Some others funny animals I've created I want to keep drawing regularly include my basset hound fursona, Mimi and Dingus. There will be a few more new faces but not that many more I really don't want to ruin my life again with trying to keep up with 30+ OCs at a time ._.;

Blah blah blah too much rambling I made a folder for it now anyway.

Furaffinity looks so bizarre now D:. I mean good on them for ya know... finally updating the site after like 15 years or some nonsense like that but it will take some getting used to that's for sure.

While I don't draw a lot a smutty things here I do post something kinda horny from time to time. My fav are all chalk full of very explicit 18+ content. I don't feel comfortable having teens following this account ESPECIALLY ones that engagement on this site makes it obvious they mislisted their age here on purpose so they can look at the horny content we all produce.

Basically the short of it is I blocked that kid and, just a fair warning, I plan to do more of that as I catch this type of stuff again in the future. I have spaces like my Tumblr blog that is completely PG13 and my Twitter that's a bit more lewdish but still not what I'd consider 18+. This space on the other hand is made by an adult for adult consumption and would prefer if that's respected if possible.

I get it teens have libidos but I"m a nearly 33 year old adult I am far from ok being the one to provide that type of content to you. Its like not only immoral but also pretty dang illegal in many countries so please... don't!

I had dental surgery back in late January and... it didn't heal correctly at all (even now its still not 100% better) and left me struggling to eat for a month and a half. I actually lost so much weight a good friend was actually concerned enough to demand I see a doctor soon and I had to actually buy new boxers because most of mine were falling down my ass regularly.

The silver lining though is this messed up my mouth for long enough I quit drinking soda and I no longer bite my nails.

Anyway just note this isn't related to the last journal I made about a week and a half ago I kinda just scooted in here really quickly to call someone out for being scummy (since I was alerted to it off site) but it does related to be not particular happy with this site.

Furaffinity is a site I'm not particularly liking that much right now. I can't even even really elaborate why on site because part of the issue involves censorship. I've been attempting to figure out for the last couple of weeks how i could address this without just outright abandoning the site altogether because I've done that in the past and came back and it didn't feel nice.

My solution for the time being is to promote other places you can find me online: Twitter is where I'm most active but I don't use the site just for my work, I share other people's work a lot and also a lot of shitposting/life related tweets and occasionally some opinion about a social or political issue. Weasyl is my other art gallery but I don't post nsfw art to it so its not a complete alternative to this one.

I'm currently weighing heavily on the option of making a furry art only tumblr blog as basically a real solution to Furaffinity since my main tumblr blog much like twitter is just a mashup of random ass nonsense. Tumblr is the only site (besides Furry Network which no one uses) that lets me have multiple urls under a single account so this would probably be the least annoying solution.

I don't really share much in the way of my political beliefs here because I don't feel the need unlike say my Twitter account. As such I appreciate if someone has a spat with me based on that they keep that to social media instead of stalking my page here looking for some type of debate.

I just had to block some weirdo neo nazi twerp that apparently didn't appreciate me being a decent human being on my social media account. It was creepy and very much unappreciated. I take a mature root on not seeking out people I dislike just to try to start shit with them and I expect the same courtesy from others.

This account has adult content on it I expect people to act like bloody fucking adults in regards to it. If you cannot do that much I will block you without a single word because that behavior doesn't deserve any further attention than this journal, ya dig?

Though in less serious news I am working on art I promise just the piece I'm doing right now is rather big!

My dad's girlfriend had a laptop she wasn't using (she got it for free as part of some program she's in) which she gave me to use as long as I need it. After some fiddling around to make sure Windows 10 would actually be compatible with all my art related stuff everything seems to be set up now. Art progress should return to normal soon (hopefully).

I have brought this up on my social media accounts recently but basically my computer is dying. It froze completely a few times and had a blue screen of death moment a few days ago as well. Its a somewhat older computer so its not really worth repairing anymore (especially since I did a lot of expensive repairs on it a couple years ago already) so I'm currently looking into getting a second hand computer from somewhere to replace it.

What this means for art is some of the bigger fancier drawings I had planned will have to wait because I can't work digitally without worrying about losing progress. That said I do have traditional art materials on hand so I have some smaller ideas I can do completely on paper in the meantime while I resolve this. So yeah expect one more digital drawing that I was working on before this all went down and then everything being hand inked and coloured for I don't know how long.

I got a pet mouse! His name is Cowboy and I need to take a better photo of him next time he's awake! Note if you're not familiar with mice vs. rats males cannot be kept in groups unlike male rats so that's why he's all by his lonesome.

I've been busy with him especially since it turned out the bar width was big enough for him to get out (despite being within the acceptable range for mice) so I had to swiftly homebrew a solution to it which actually hurt my hands and back so I couldn't draw for the last couple of few days. That said things have finally quieted down so hopefully I can FINALLY get back on drawing things I have many drawing ideas I want to put on canvas dang it!

So that's all the news I have for now.

Since I last was using this site my mental health had a pretty bad dip that has essentially led me to having way less energy to come up with anything witty to say. Basically if you notice me doing a bit more fav and run stuff its because I my brain couldn't come up with something fancy to say about your drawing. If you don't mind me just like adding a short and sweet comment like "awesome!" you can tell me and I'll do that. I just remember that back in my DeviantART days people got really annoyed if you left a comment on a drawing that wasn't like a full fancy sentence explaining exactly why you liked a particular piece of art. I assure you I always have like big complex reasons for my opinions I just don't always have the spoons necessary to write them down in a coherent way.

Hey there I had an account here like over a year ago I abandoned because I was annoyed with how the site was run. Since that time my art direction has changed a bit, I'm working less on my webcomic concept due to like my health going to shit and more on general stuff. I also went from having drawn no porn to having drawn... like a few adult pieces, mostly mid last year. I'm going to be trying to rewatch everyone I was previously watching on my other account but I may spare doing it for some people based on my change in art direction.
