Posted 5 months agoJust letting everyone know that I may be a bit quiet the next few days with the anxiety of the election results coming in, im scared for myself and my friends, but trying not to panic and holding on to a little bit of hope for mail in ballots and a recount, please be kind to one another right now and avoid doom posting 💖
And this should go without saying, but Trump supporters are not welcome on my page and never have been. If you voted for Trump you stand for hate, and my art is not for you.

a note on feral nsfw
Posted 5 months agoI feel like I shouldn't have to say this, but feral nsfw makes me uncomfortable, it always has. that has never changed. I keep my filter on this website ON at all times because I know it makes me uncomfortable and I dont want to see it, I dont want to fight with people on this, or go after anyone, so I simply i curate my own space so I can use this website more comfortably.
But I miss stuff, im not online 24/7, in fact I do not have a direct feed into my brain of what everyone I interact with or follow posts , so I miss stuff. If you catch me interacting with or following someone who draws it you are welcome to let me know and I will un-follow. Im a little upset because I think sometimes people forget i'm a human being who has a life outside of the internet, i don't want people to make assumptions about what Im okay with or what im not okay with based on someone I used to follow when I was younger, or someone I might have followed recently and just didn't know, or even someone I did an art trade w or commission for etc! Basically, I'm not constantly keeping tabs on everyone who I have ever interacted with or sold art to, I do not have it in me, Im a mentally ill, 28 year old woman just trying her best to make it and who enjoys drawing herself as a cute deer and doing fun character designs in my freetime cause it makes me happy, not a robot who sits at her computer all day combing through profiles and looking for tea or things I know would make me upset, i think i would go insane if I did that, and I'd much rather be using my free time for stuff like playing silly video games and watching shows and reading books when Im not making art :p
I've also had this account since I was very young ( middleschool ) and for a long time genuinely had no idea there was even a filter i could turn off and that there was nsfw on this site at all for YEARS, ( I may be a little stupid ) so id spend days going through art and following just about anyone and not realizing what sort of content they drew outside of their sfw work because I wasnt aware there was even a content filter for a long time lol.
Again, im not asking for a fight, i dont need you to explain to me why you think drawing feral nsfw is fine, Or that your friend draws it and their fine, etc etc! It just makes me uncomfortable and upset and I am allowed to curate my spaces like I always have, this has never been a secret, I've been very vocal about it in the past just about everywhere and im sincerely very sorry if that makes you upset, I just don't want to spend all of my time online fighting people about stuff that makes me uncomfortable and triggers me, and I hope that you can respect that and my boundaries <3

Rant/ramble about how people treat artists
Posted 8 months agoI wish people were Kinder to artists sometimes. I think its so strange how artists get treated when they start making good sales or get more followers as if they suddenly are a big Business and still not just, one person trying their best, who may be disabled or may have bad days still. Good sales/ having many followers does not mean and artist is a big Business like Amazon who exploits workers to make money. Good sales does not mean you have access to health care, food, or medication you need always.
People assume because an artist may get paid well a few times/ make a few sales over 100 they now have tons of money. But thats just not how that works? I will almost 100% garuntee you if an artist makes a good adopt sale it will go straight to living expenses or taxes. Im begging kids to understand that the average adult needs to be making well over a thousand MONTHLY to survive and that does NOT mean you're doing well or saving money. You might see an artist bring in over 1k and think, wow this artist is so rich. But they could very well still be under the poverty limit for where they live and not be actually retaining any of that money. You also dont know what someone has going on personally. Ive had to give half of my sales away for a while to help out family, and that does not include what i already take out for taxes. Ive seen people get mad for artists for talking about personal issues like this publically for it being not "proffessional" , but also get mad and call artists fake for not talking about personal issues enough. People forget proffessionalism is a learned skill. It can take years to learn the best way to handle customers. Its not something you learn overnight. You dont wake up one day when you hit a certain amount of followers and become a perfect proffessional. Not everyone has money for a business class. Not everyone has a family they can count on for financial Support or a cushion. Some artists are just getting by month to month even with a large following and lots of "good sales"
Artists are not in competion. I use my platform to try to boost the sales of smaller artists and mutuals whenever I see them. But im also not online 24/7 because it is bad for my mental health. Twitter and other social medias I rely on are so full of negativity its absolutely draining. But I still do my best to help others when I can.

Please Reserve this hateful energy for people who deserve it, like billionaires who exploit others, not the one popular artist you are jealous of, I promise you the artist with 50k + followers that makes a few sales over 100 or even more now and then isn't your enemy and is probably poorer than you think they are. Im sure people who have followed me for a while probably get frustrated seeing me talk about this now and then but sometimes I feel like it needs to be said, people are so hateful online, and ive seen alot of that lately. Almost all of my artists friends are struggling rn. Things are hard. We should be kind and support each other and celebrate when one of us does well. This is not a competion. Artists are not competing against each other and I wish for us ALL to do well genuinely, a decent wage for all artists!

But if a plumber or electrician made a good sale or got a raise/ etc there isn't discourse about wether they are deserving. Posted 11 months agoI just wanted to make a quick journal letting people know that on instagram, and twitter, and now FA there is a person with a very similar username to mine, they copy whatever icon I have, and try to dm my customers in my auctions pretending to be me to scam them out of money, its super annoying and they have been doing this for a few years now. please block and report if you see an account impersonating me trying to scam you. I will never end an auction early unless you autobuy and I ONLY accept payment via invoices I send myself via paypal! I don't want anyone to get scammed!

Posted 2 years agoI updated my kofi a bit and set a goal , I'd really like to start saving for pet pigeon supplies! Ive done a toooon of research and I really want to get a pet pigeon eventually, but rn I can't properly save for it like I would like to due to medical expenses. so I'm taking my time and just buying some supplies here and there! my current goal is to save up for an xl dog crate as pigeons need more space to walk around than vertical space, as they dont like to fly around as much as other birds, so most bird cages will simply not work for pigeons! donations towards this goal are appreciated but not expected of course. if you donate over 20 usd and drop a ref I will try to doodle you something small over the weekend, please not though this is not like a commission and it is something i will do in my free-time, so please do not be pushy or rude!

Impersonater/scammer beware
Posted 2 years agoJust learned I have an impersonater on reddit uploading my art and trying to pretend to be me!!! Please block ans report if you find it. This is not me. I do not have an active reddit account nor will I ever. I've seen them trying to take personal détails from my life and try to write about it like a blog post and its rather creepy! They are also trying to scam people out of money for adopts that have already been sold.

Hospital funds

I just spent 400 on vet bills ( dog is okay ) and I need to go to the hospital again soon for a mystery illness that I've been dealing with for the past year or two now and I dont have Healthcare so every hospital visit for me is like 500+ dbsjsh

Posted 3 years agoHello, there seems to be a little confusion lately on my adopts and i wanted to address it! This isnt a callout or to make anyone feel bad, but ive had a few people mention it so i figured it was worth talking about 💖
Wings of fire "wof" is a book series, I often do wings of fire themed adopts because I love and enjoy mixing the various dragon species! There are around 8 or 9 dragon species in the books. Ive done ton of wings of fire themed designs! If you see a design thats say, mud/rain as an example, it is a wof adopt. Wings of fire is not closed species. They have always been for fun, if you adopt a wings of fire design from me you are always welcome to edit it, change it, make it non wings of fire dragon, idk turn it into a wolf, once the design is yours as long as you are not using it for anything offensive i do not mind you changing it up.
I just had a few people who thought wings of fire itself was a closed species, I dont blame you, easy mistake to make if you are unfamiliar with the series. Wings of fire itself is not a closed species.
Dewwings ARE a closed species thats inspired by wings of fire! They are what is called a fan flight or fan tribe. Ive only done a handful of dewwing designs and I really like them, but this does not mean i wont do other adopts or that im suddenly only ever doing closed species designs! Other dragon and furry adopts will still continue like normal between commissions. But I love dewwings and the community so i will still likely make dewwing adopts here and there.
I will always clarify on the adopt post wether it is a closed species or not! If there is no mention of joining a discord server or closed species you may assume that it is open. I hope this clears things up with everyone. And please do not take this as an opportunity to try to debate with me about closed species. I do not have the time nor the energy to do so. This is just to help people who are confused. I hope that makes sense, and again my goal isnt to make anyone feel bad here, its an easy mistake to make if you are unfamiliar with wings of fire.

Custom sl avatars
Posted 3 years agoDoes anyone take custom secondlife avatar comms? This isn't something I could do right now probably, but in the future I'd really love to find someone to make a whole custom avatar for me. Which I know is a ton to ask for! But im certainly interested if someone does stuff like this!
Id honestly even be more than fine with them selling it as as a normal avatar after! There's just a sort of avatar I've been looking for a missing since I started secondlife.
I've attempted 3d stuff myself but its so challenging and I primarily work out of an iPad so im not sure if im at a place where I can tackle making 3d art rn! Though id like to learn one day
Oh and I dont mean texture comms, I can do textures myself, im talking about a whole 3d model, animated and rigged for sl!
I'm not sure if this is something people even do so I figured it wouldn't hurt to put out feelers and just ask! ( i think what im looking for could also be a pretty heavy mod of an existing avatar, but would still require some 3d modeling work, and animating)

I had one for a while but there just wasn't enough interest to really justify working on it, I think now I'm in a better place and id really like it to do well, this would bring alot of financial stability to my life and help me focus on passion projects I've been wanting to pursue for a very long time.
Since its all about fostering a community, what do you guys think of these tiers? Do they sound fair and would you genuinely be interested? Haven't done the art for them yet sorry!
Supporting my patreon would mainly give you access to early concept work , comic pages ( when I have them done) , tutorials occasionally, free bases, a monthly exclusive patreon adopt raffle, bust sketches, and more.
Spark (2 dollars a month):
- early looks at my sketches, and commissions that im working on
-lightning (7 dollars a month):
- all the rewards from previous tiers
- the ability to vote and suggest what tutorials I work on
- a vote on my monthly base
- early access to my adopts before I post them elsewhere
Thunder ( 15 dollars a month )
- all of rhe previous tiers
- access to early comic pages/concept work i post for it
- a vote for the theme of the monthly patreon exclusive raffle adopt ( could be furry or dragon )
- a slot in the adopt raffle

I have the texture for it done but my computer is rather old and Im struggling to understand unity to upload it, I can pay the normal commission cost and for the avatar needed! I'm rather new to VR chat so sorry if this seems silly. But I really dont mind to pay someone to do this for me sometime soon! I just wanna be a cat! the avatar I'm working with is moopdrea/scpkids cat avatar!

Posted 3 years agoLast night I went to the fair with my boyfriend, we had just gotten some food and I qas trying to find a place to sit down,, and an old white guy got really close behind us and said " all these n words, this used to be a white fair, I might not come back tomorrow" and followed my boyfriend and I for like 5 minutes it was terrifying
