everything is still good there just waiting for the next draft!

irrational machines:
the comic is on hold till i figure stuff out. with the workload comic pages take  TheKC has understandably adjusted their prices. unfortunately being unemployed has made it unfeasible (even before factoring in extra complexities of chapter 2, anyone who read it knows why even if i soul eater the extras XD ) at the current quality. so atm im mulling through my options;
1) go with just lines which color is necessary for many scenes,
2) cant take money or donations without it leaving me in a worse financial situation with my government (as i have to report what i "earn" fortnightly, which they will just deduct the difference from their next payment)
3) spend the next three months saving up for for a single page. which at that point the money could be better used covering other unforeseen bills
4) i really dont want to reopen the contract to anyone else for the time being, i realy love  TheKC 's art and they are a pleasure to deal with.

the story itself is back in the rotation and should resume writing in a few months pending life.

hi i just received the all clear form the fire department. my home is still fine but yesterday was nerve wracking when it jumped the containment line.

since i live next to a highway surrounded by bush land i can assume some asshole had thrown a lit cigarette out their window as they drove past.
at the moment i'm not in danger atm but close enough that a shift in the wind could ruin what little i have.

applying artists must be aware of:

*like the Tunnel running trio, the webcomic is to gather interest for my novels and maybe given out in hard copies as kickstarter rewards if i go down that avenue (a buyout fee to print hard copies for giveaway as rewards would be discussed further), i have no plans for them beyond that.

*its a paid commission, i don't know why i have to keep adding that....(If the comic got popular enough, which i highly doubt, would love to arrange something to be set up with the artist to help make the comic self sustaining through donations.)
Since i've been asked to set a max budget it would be $100usd per black/ white page.

*i have no set level of skill for artist. If i like your art style and the price is right i will hire.

*must be ok with violence and associated injuries. though Series Hybrids live peaceful lives, they were born and bred to be war machines with supernatural strength and ability. depending on the which story the frequency of violence and the severity can differ.

*i know artist have other projects and real life situations that devour your time and i don't have a time limit but i like monthly updates on the progress of the current state of the comic page (I've been screwed enough by artists taking my money and doing a runner to make me distrustful.)

a brief blurb of current available projects and their estimated length:

*Tunnel running trio (mid-long term project/ reopened for commission): Set three years before the first book within my series, it follows the untold story of how he met Kate and bedisa, the two members of his three hybrid monster hunting team, as they struggle to make a living with their individual talents.

*toshiko origins (mid-long term project): an origin story of the captain of the assault cruiser: eternal fate and the oldest living E-Series hybrid in existence, it deals with racial discrimination the e-series endured during the Multiverse war era,

*the red wolf (short to mid term project): a story about a Hemo'roc E-Series wolf that becomes stranded(what is considered by UPA, the hybrid protection forces behind enemy lines) within human space, with no understanding of their language or culture. The story is more of a bittersweet romance story with some moments of action.

*The delinquents (mid term): code name for the Darkfire corporation's Special Forces penal unit specialized in achieving the impossible, the story follows the lives of the whole squad of X-ray 158 as they use the skillsets that got them convicted to survive their alternative sentence.

*Ajali the orphan (short term): another origin story (probably the must dull of all the comic stories) of a side character that appears throughout the novels. it covers his life inside the orphanage and all the challenges it entails being the only hybrid on a human only planet. this one has next to no action though the violence is the most brutal.

*Irrational machines (mid-long term): Irrational machines centers around the perspectives of Kai, a Iyeoh created solely exists to find Resouce and recover lost technologies, and Kyubi, a Kitsune out of time, thrown into a world she no longer recognizes, with the theme of the un-explainable nature of the world.

i have 2 other long term projects (Satellite, the Unity calamity)but they are more to talk about in notes.

I've been thinking about releasing them, but yeah i'm paranoid for theft of my life's work so close to publishing. from what can gather from page views there's about 15 users who have read it from start to finish, which was more than what I expected, I haven't really got any constructive feedback, thoughts etc.

those who really want to see how the "introduction arc" ends I will post below the the prerequisites for their uploading.
to be blunt I honestly see it in my my mind as a waste of my time (the same fate as uploading and polishing the Toshinko's origin side story i did over a year ago) {to get a copy off the current master file located on a laptop that permanently disconnected from the internet, find the chapter, do a final run through check, convert that section into a pdf, load it onto a flash disk to upload to my online PC and make a copy of the chapter that reads on FA}, and further increasing "risk" for no gain whatsoever to do it beforehand.

what about the central character Demaskis?
the problem with him is i haven't found an exact song that fits him (at least close to) perfectly since as the stories progress his perspective and outlook changes. for a brief example; at the start of the first book he is kind hearted and had an unusual moral code (for a hybrid at least) and by the beginning of the third book he has become something worse than Damien ever was.
