Commissions open!
Posted 7 years agoI want to get into commissions and streaming properly. I'm still working my pricing out, but if you'd like something done, hit me up!
Opening commissions!
Posted 7 years agoSeeing this, you're probably wondering "who the fuck is this guy?"
I've been inactive here for a long while, but I decided to get serious about art as a career, so now I'm here again and opening commissions, y'all!
They are gonna be favorably priced for a while, but I can do the quality in my gallery, so if you want something done, hit me up and let's talk about it. I'll do a proper price sheet soon-ish.

Burnt out
Posted 10 years agoDang, last non-temporary journal was 7 months ago.
Anyway, feeling pretty damn burnt out on the fandom again, which was the reason for my absence in the first place. I realized that I feel incredibly uninspired to spend hours upon hours to draw porn that I couldn't show anyone outside the fandom anyway, which is why I didn't end up drawing anything other than anatomy practice lately.
I'm going back to my original love, comics and animation, mediums that I feel constant love for, and keep my furry drawings on the personal level when I feel like drawing such stuff again, like I know I do once in a while.

This is an addiction
Posted 10 years agoI keep fixing tiny things and details on Ron Turner's reference sheet. I polished it and reuploaded the polished version again and again every day for almost a week now.
Fixed little details on the (rather sketchy) lineart of the original template, changed his peen like five times, fixed the eyes, the shape of the hooves, the fur around the hooves, the curve of the back, the positioning and size of the back view, the size of the text, the hue of the background, and many, many more details.
Maybe I just want it to be too perfect for the weekend, when he's getting some art drawn for him on stream.
I think it's finally done now though. If I change it again, slap me on the wrist.

Drawing males - market opportunity?
Posted 10 years agoI found that very few people draw males, mainly muscular males in general, and even fewer do it well. It just needs way more anatomical knowledge and it looks like someone who could draw them really well would own a big chunk of the male market in commissions. Thoughts?
I'm back!
Posted 10 years agoI got back yesterday, just forgot to make a journal about it.
I practiced a lot while I was away (that's why I got a laptop, after all) and the result is (other than a bunch of material studies and pose studies) a new picture of Maju and Betty in the gallery, fully shaded with a simple (but real) background, and a shaded version of Maju's newer pictures. I'm getting more confident shading now, so I'm getting closer to being able to open commissions to the public and not just working for the few regulars. I have a commission, a raffle prize, and a few promised little gifts to do first though.
That's all for now. Stay frosty, friends.

Away on vacation
Posted 11 years agoI'm gonna be unavailable for the next week on vacation without internet, so if I don't reply to your notes, that's why.
Recolored Gabriel
Posted 11 years agoJust as a notice, I recolored an older piece of Gabriel, my crocodile OC, to better reflect his current colors. I didn't want to reupload it and move the older one to scraps, so I just changed the submission file on the older one.

"Boo hoo, donate!"
Posted 11 years agoI see several (!) of these emergency journals every single day now, and I feel like I have to voice my opinion on it.
Sure, sometimes the hurricane destroys your house on the same week you have to pay ransom to get your daughter back from the kidnappers in time for her expensive heart surgery. I can understand things like that causing financial stress. But "my guinea pig is sick, please give me a hundred bucks"? No.
Relying on the pity of strangers on the internet to get a hundred dollars because your tablet broke, or because your cat needs a visit to the vet, or because you are behind on rent means that you are not managing your money well and/or you are NOT ready to make a living on your art alone, if that's what you do. Not by a long shot.
Emergencies will happen. Some of those emergencies will cost money.
Please think about how much financial stress you could possibly take if something were to happen right now. Would you be able to help yourself if your car or tablet broke, or your pet got sick? How about if your home burned down?
If the results worry you, work hard to make the changes you have to. Get a roommate to help with the rent, get a steady job or stay in school and do your art after until you are ready to take off with some financial safety. Most importantly, try to save some money up at the end of the month, no matter what you do.
Live responsibly, people.

New stuff!
Posted 11 years agoIt's been years since my last journal, so let's update things a bit!
I made a new fursona, Gabriel Woods, a male crocodile who I really enjoy playing because he is like an extension of myself. Gotta make some new art for him though.
My older fursona, Maju, who used to be a femboy, is now a shemale. She took the leap and now she's much happier for it! See the little story in her ref pic for details.
I'm getting better at drawing again. I learned Photoshop again, then I had some problems with it, then I just went back to my old love, SAI, but with renewed knowledge of how it works. I'm playing around with custom brushes and layer modes now; I don't know how I managed to draw anything remotely interesting without this knowledge.
I also bought a new tablet. My old, 40-dollar Genius Mousepen broke a while back. It took me like six months to replace it; not because of the money, but for a lack of motivation. My job totally sucked it out of me, and I'm glad I have the motivation again. My new tablet is a Wacom Intuos Touch Medium - yeah, it's awesome. Now we're cookin' with gas!
All in all, things are looking up somewhat. Now I just want to get good enough and fast enough with my drawings to be able to offer quality commissions.
That's all for now. Keep checking the gallery, there's more stuff coming up!

First
Posted 15 years agoI made (actually, took, since it was just a taken name by an unused account - Thanks for the admins) To upload newer art of mine. Maju is my Second Life character, a skunk guy. Hopefully this account will shine, and will be commissioned for sketches (Which money I plan to use on my SL account) I also hope I'll have the time and energy to make pictures of my SL friends, dudes and dudettes alike. I love cute and sexy things, so be prepared for cute and sexy pictures.
The account is set up and my favorite artists from the previous account have been added.
