I always wonder about the breakdown between 'people who care about plot' and 'people who don't'. This shape show up independently thousands of times and scientists have no idea why.

As someone who grew up on anime, I really came to prefer the ones that just fucking end. I remember tuning in for episodes of Bleach and Naruto every week before eventually just falling off. Every show I've ever been into that's done that, I've just stopped watching at some point or another. Hard to say if it's just them getting worse, or I'm just getting bored. I recently started watching Arcane, the Netflix series, and it's done nothing but re-affirm that I just love shorter, tighter experiences. The best part of any show for me is when it ends. Then I have a nice, satisfying package I can come back to later. But in show of good faith, here's some that sht I was hype for when I was younger:

Naruto: I ended up finishing the manga at a least. And by finishing, I mean speeding through. When the fights were good, they were good. I probably watched Sakura/Chiyo/Sasori fight a hundred times, it was that hype.

Dragonball Z: I mean cmon. Who didn't watch this sht. It was great. Think the first time ever that me and my sister tuned in, Goku was training at 100x gravity on the way to Namek.

Bleach: Every time a new Bankai happened this show was hype.

Yuyu Hakusho: I can't name an arc in this show that wasn't awesome. Except the final, final one. Whatever that was. Sure seemed like one of those 'there was more in the manga' things. Pretty abrupt ending.

Prince Of Tennis: One of the last dumbass shows I still tolerated for a long time. It's helped along by the fact that there was never a super clear end goal, so even the filler seemed like it fit. It was just some kids playing Tennis. Surprisingly down the earth sometimes despite being utter nonsense. They continued it (fairly) recently, and now people are just going literal super Saiyan, and creating magic tennis portals. It's so fucking dumb, but I still kinda liked what I saw, ngl. Despite falling off at the end again, it's one I ended up watching all the way through many times.

Yu-Gi-Oh: I ended up liking GX better to be honest. It's just so hard to justify...everything about the first season, and all of the filler that came later, which I only saw much later in life. It was hype as fuck when we were kids tho. Got a bunch of yu-gi-oh cards sitting in a platic tub somewhere in my dad's garage I need to find.

I want a L4D spinoff that takes place in a variety of wacky carnival locations, and has the zombies replaced with clown women. Mmmm, Clown Tanks and Clowns Boomers are pretty obvious. But facefucking Jester Jockeys would be pretty legit. And the Spitters would shoot rainbow goo all over your dick.
