It's been twenty years this month since I attended my first furry con. FC 2003.

Man has things rrally changed not only in the fandom but for me as a furry.

T'was the night before Christmas and all through the house
Everyone was busy even the mouse.

The canines all waited with a sack and some rope
To capture St. Nick the big red dope.

The furies all primed, smiles ear to ear
What they wanted was Santa's sack gear!

With a clatter and curse came a noise on the roof
And everyone held their breath with paw or hoof.

They dimmed down the lights and hid behind things
And only waited to pounce the jolly red king.

" Now damn it you guys!" came the bellow above
" you know I hate giving this house my love"

He spoke to his reindeer each one in turn
A worrisome tone to that jolly red bum.

"Every year I come the tie me up so.
" And raid my sack for the bones and the bows"

" No cookies or milk, or nice little gifts.
Just furies and macros they pounced right swift."

" Oh come on you guys, Don't give me that look.
You don't have to go down there. Damn, I'm hooked."

So with a bellowing laugh, he leaped down the pipe
And at the bottom was given such a fright.

The growls and the hiss of a dozen charging furs
Would make even the most steadfast eyes a blur.

They tied him up nice, like a cute little box
And looted his sack like a hyper fox.

Things went flying, the old man only looked
And the presents where passed around and shook.

What happened next, well that's not for our eyes
You little children will just have to think of some lies.

When they tossed him out naked into the snow
His reindeer fell off the roof laughing at the great show.

The swooped down to grab him, un-gag him and smile,
And the old man cursed mile after mile

" Merry Christmas to all, including you damn furs!
This is the last time you guys ride me with spurs!"

Why would furs care about the fat man that is just looking for someone to be his Ho. I mean really its really disturbing that the fat man is flying around calling out that he is looking to find a Ho, Ho, Ho. I mean really there are children around!

I just saw the trailer of Civil War and they said that California and Texas allied together ageist the federal government. Yeah like that would ever happen! I don't think there are two states that hate each other any more than California and Texas does.

Yes this sounds like a really stupid.

And now for the rest of the story, as Harvey Paul would say it

People would steal live stock by walking past said live stock with an ice cream cone in their pocket making sure that the live stock can see that its there. Live stock are not that stupid they see food and they go after it. The person just walks into a stock trailer with the live stock following them. Since they are not actually touching the animals nor waving food around in their hands to get the animals to follow them its not theft.

I know that this is a very touchy subject for many so I am keeping it to about myself after my death.

In all likelihood the first things that will be hitting the dumpster floor by my family will be my fursuits soon followed by whatever may have been in the kitchen and bathroom trashcans before my death.

If by some miracle someone gets their hands on my fursuits before my family can get their hands on them to throw them into a dumpster I want them to be sold, given, or obtained by others to be worn by other furries until they are no longer wearable and need to be retired. Now if there was some furry museum it would be wonderful if some of them would become some kind of display but I know that that's not happening as I am far from being any kind of a popufur.

Now if my last wishes would be granted, which my family will do everything in their power to prevent by any and all legal and borderline illegal means, I will be buried in my donkey fursuit. All others I want others to enjoy as I will no longer have any more use for them as you know I'm already kinda dead.

If you really want to know who is the cause of drama all you need to do is to look into a mirror and you will see the guilty party.

There is drama because "ALL" humans love drama. Yeah people will deny they enjoy it but they are just lying to them self's. You can look anywhere in human history and you will find people attacking other people over the stupidest reasons. Hell how many thousands of people where executed over how many angels they thought could dance on the head of a pin. And that was just the people who where killed by the lawful state not including how many brawls where a neighbor murdered their neighbor because they argued on the subject of how many angels could dance in the head of a pin.

The best way not to be part of drama is not to participate in it on any level that includes giving it any attention what so ever. The thing is you can't do it as you will always have to put in your own two cents into it causing the drama to burn even brighter and to flourish that much more.

Heck you just reading this proves that you enjoy drama as if you did not the subject of this journal would have chased you away from even wanting to see what I said.

So far for the last about year and a half each full time working adult in the US has paid $570 to save Ukraine from the Russians illegal invasion and murdering of the Ukrainian people. That covers all forms of support and not just supplying Ukraine with weapons.

The US federal government has spent about $200 for each full time worker in the US every year for the last 40+ years on the war on drugs which does not include the expenses that cities, county's, states, and the federal government pays of the amont of about $600,000 each year to keep a single drug affender in prison for that single year.

I joined the fandom during the growing years of the fandom aka of the mid 2000s but what will the kids (late teens) of the fandom will see in their twilight years 75n years from now?

In the direction of art I can see some very impressive AI artwork as computer programming advances.

And then VR programs will be so advanced where you really could not tell the difference between real life and being inside a VR program. You can be your fursona and actually might be fooled into believing that you are a anthropomorphic animal for some time.

But what might be really impressive is where fursuits may go. I can see the technology so advanced that you are not as much wearing a fursuit but actually are becoming the fursuit where it looks like you actually are an anthro animal.

that there is a great deal more realistic furry art than there is realistic fursuits.

I have seen so many furs get realistic reference sheets done for their fursuit then turn around and commission a toon fursuit builder to have their toonish stile fursuit to be built.

It's been at least two decades since I have heard that song. I just happen to come across it serfing YouTube. I would have thought that there would have been a shit load of furries who would have did a furry version of the song but when I looked I could not find a single furry who did a furry video using that song. I mean it just out right screams for a lewd furry video.

How many furs had the budget of 5 to 10k to just drop on a custom built fursuit from some well known builder as that kind of money is not all that much to them but they just ended up spending like $1k from some unknown fursuit builder that they just happen to have come across at the time and liked the fursuit. The question is not about saving money but more of they happen to really liked the fursuit and did not care that its from some builder that no one has ever heard of instead of that fursuit from the builder that everyone knows and wants a fursuit from them as its a status symbol.

There is little to no difference in keeping a crow or raven as a pet as it is a parrot. They all are just as hard keepers as pets as all three can get board extremely easily and become very noisy and destructive when board.

When I looked up what makes a parrot a good pet versus what makes a raven or crow a bad pet it said the exact same thing for all three birds except how it was twisted around to say that it was a hurtle to overcome with a parrot but that it makes it a horrible choice as pet with crows and ravens.

The only real difference is what is considered morally correct. Its considered morally correct to raid the tropics of parrots to where the parrots are rendered to extinction in the wild to be able to transport the parrots farther north than they can ever possibility survive than it is to keep ravens or crows where they are actually found as native birds.

I don't see why its not legal to raid raven and crow nests of eggs to raze the babies as tame animals as in many places ravens and crows are considered pests and are wanted to be eliminated in said areas than to go into the wild where parrots try their best to avoid humans for people to capture them to make them into pets.

There is so much really awesome furry art you see on youtube, the vast mostly of it being pirated, that people use as background for a variety of videos. I have wondered the really detailed scene are was that something that the artist just drew because that was where their mind was at the moment or was it something that some one commissioned. I mean there is a great deal of work of man hours that went into drawing it. That could not be cheap in any stretch of the imagination. Either case that piece of art really meant something to someone to decide to have that amount of work done to show what they where feeling about what was being drawn.

It is a little disappointing just how much of it depicts violence of some degree. What does that say about us as furries and humans where we find our entertainment in violence. I am far from being innocent in this as I my self find my entertainment in violence in different forms be that table top RPG, movies, TV shows, and other media.

I have seen the number of fursuits just explode on thedealersden and etsy and for the most part they are just not selling. I have seen the same fursuits for sale for months and some for a good part of a year. Even the suits that are for sale that are actually respectably priced are just not selling. Then there are the fursuits that one could buy a used car in top rate condition for the same amount of money. I don't see many furs dumping three to four grand on a partial that is just a head, tail, and hand paws that is not even their personal character. I have seen someone who has made only one fursuit that is demanding two grand just for a head.

People are just not spending money right now. I work for a company that makes food plastic bottles and just about everyone is having their hours cut when we should be at our most busy for the summer months. This is an industry that is just about recession proof as people can't go long without eating and even we are being affected by it. The plant ripped out some of the older machines to install bigger faster newer machines and since the sales are just not there they have not even had the machine delivered let alone installed that should have been up and running six months ago for the summer months. More than half of the workers in the plant where temp workers and for the most part they have been told not to bother coming in for work as more than half of the machines are either been fully shut down or are on a very reduced speed. One drink companies that we supplied bottles to is in the process of shutting down the plant permanently and is not expected to ever reopen. A couple of years ago I was working 72 hours a week now I am not getting 40 every week. They are not at the point of dismissing permanent employees yet but they are not hiring which I have never seen in the many years that I have worked there. We where always trying to hire new workers for the job that I did at the plant.

Its not like fursuits will degrade if put into long term storage but its quite the investment in making them not to sell it. I am wondering which fursuit builders will do either just expect the suits to go for a good part of a year or longer being unsold or will they drop the prices. Time will tell.

I was watching a video of Make-A-Wish requests that where denied. One of the requests that was denied was that some kid wanted to be turned into a dinosaur. I bet if the Make-A-Wish people contacted the furry community that some dying kid wanted to be turned into a dinosaur that there would be multiple fursuit builder who would have been more than willing to build the kid an epic dinosaur fursuit. Heck if I was on the waiting list from a builder and I was told that my fursuit was being delayed because some Make-A-Wish kid was put at the head of the cue for a fursuit I would be more than happy to be delayed so the dying kid could have a fursuit.

I like looking around etsy for what people have for sell as you can find the most interesting things on there, and I happen to have found someone that seems to make off the shelf fursuit heads. It looks like that they have a couple master patterns and makes mutable heads using the same pattern.

I have not done any business with them so I don't know if they are trustworthy but they seem to have some good ratings from past customers. So if you know someone who is willing to try them, who is on a really tight budget and wants a fursuit head you might want to show them this seller who operates out of the Czech Republic. As I can afford it I am debating ordering something my self just to check them out personally. As I am not a real fan of toon suits I might keep it so others can try there paw at fursuiting before spending money on a fursuit they will regret buying.

Man, really! People comment on how really expensive fur cons are. I just learned that a vacation to a Disney park for a family of four can run well over ten thousand dollars not including traveling expenses. I can see why so many parents are wanting to take their kids to a furry convention.

I have never had any kids so I really would not know but do kids today really understand the difference between a Disney movie and a full-length cartoon movie from any other studio? Do parents drag their kids to a Disney Themepark because they went as a kid and not because the kids actually want a Disney Park experience? If your young kids just want to see costumed animal characters a fur con is by leaps and bounds cheaper than going to a disney park. If you want to take your older kids to a Themepark there are far cheaper designations to go to.

I have started to notice in the last few years that there are a lot of non fursuters walking in the fursuit parade in videos. Back when I attended hotel-based fur cons there where almost no non fursuiters in the fursuit parade that I had noticed in the set-up room for the parade nor in the room for the after-parade photo. Now there might have been the rare handler for a fursuiter that may have needed physical help. But from what I am seeing the non fursuiters that I am seeing in videos are there walking on their own and not there assisting a fursuiter. Now I am not counting an adult who is with what looks like a minor who is in a fursuit that is in the parade.
