"The City Silent" first half available!
Posted a year agoHey folks, for what it's worth, I have finally posted a downloadable copy of the first half of "The City Silent" to my Gumroad store. Because of its size, I can't make it a free download but I'm only charging the minimum, which is $1. Any tips always appreciated but the minimum is fine, too. To go take a look, head here:

The City Silent: end of act 1
Posted 4 years ago"The City Silent," my comic about a crow graffiti writer struggling with his muse has just reached the end of the first act. It's an opera in comic form and all the current chapters are available for free on my gumroad store, though donations are always accepted. https://gumroad.com/tblue
Censored on tumblr!!
Posted 6 years agoHey, remember when tumblr was a thing? I know most people left after the December 17th shift in politics but for those of us still at least sifting the site for leftover chunks, I thought people might find it interesting that even I could get censored there. I think I've posted one nude image ever there (and it was NOT flagged). Otherwise, my stuff is pretty squeaky. Of all the images they want me to review, most of them seem to center around my doberman character, Howard (who always appears fully clothed). So the best I can conclude is that TUMBLR IS ANTI-DOBERMAN!!! Hell, they can make rash, pointless generalizations, so can I.
MFF
Posted 6 years agoHey, for what it's worth, I will be wandering about MFF this week. I'll have some limited edition prints in the art show, but am otherwise not selling or artist-alleying (if that's a word). By all means, check out the artist anatomy panels given by my partner. He'll have a general and adult one, AND the artist who's been providing some of the artwork for them all these years, Trojan will be there as well!
New video!
Posted 7 years agoHowdy FA peoples. I just made a video on my comics making process called, "How NOT to Make Comics." It's just about my process which I don't tend to recommend as it's a bit backwards. Please take a look!

Etsy store
Posted 8 years agoHey folks, I know I don't post here any more, though I do look at stuff. Just wanted to announce that I'm trying to sell some of the huge amount of original art I have sitting in my closet. To that end, I've started up an Etsy store. If you're at all interested, please head on over to:

New followers? I'm not really here.
Posted 9 years agoHowdy folks. I've seen a handful of new folks following me here. While this is really nice, I haven't posted work here in quite awhile and have removed my gallery as well. I tend to post to tumblr and weasyl as well as my flickr and blogspot (yah, those last two still actually exist!). Those links are as follows:

Back from MFF
Posted 9 years agoI haven't been to a convention in 4 years. That being said, MFF was far huger than the last time I was there. Even still, I had a good time. I met up with old friends, some I've been running into at cons for nearly 20 years, some I've only met once and some I met for the first time. It's always good to reconnect and newly connect. I even 'suited' briefly though it seems furry fandom isn't yet ready for a more realistic looking orc. My next convention will be sooner than later. A good friend has offered me space at BLFC in Nevada this coming May. It's a totally new area for me so I hope to meet even more cool people. I keep forgetting that most of my current life is somehow based in this community. Some very long term friends are because of the fandom. My partner and I met on the mucks and we still RP there all the time. So maybe I should try and step back in a bit. Anyway, thanks to all the cool people I met, was lucky enough to sit down and talk to, listen to and interact with. I hope to see you next time.
MFF
Posted 9 years agoFor what it's worth, I will be at MFF next week. I'll probably just be wandering around, but I'll be there.

Posted 9 years agoHowdy folks. I'll be streaming live at around 12:30 today. I'll post the link then. Anyone welcome. I work almost exclusively in Adobe Illustrator, so if anyone's not used it or is just curious and wants to see, please come by! I'll be playing music, perhaps singing along (if you're unlucky) and possibly swearing. Yay! Will post the link then.

Streaming for wednesday, October 28th
Posted 9 years agoHey folks, I will be streaming live tomorrow, October 28th at noon EST. I'll post the link here tomorrow when I'm up and running. All folks welcome. And just in case it wasn't clear, and to some it wasn't, there is SOUND on my stream! I think picarto has it set to mute until you turn it up for some reason. Had some really good discussions last week with folks, so I hope y'all can come by. I'll be working on the next page of the Smatt and Terry comic. If you have any interest in Adobe Illustrator and it's not something you've used, I'll be happy to demo and talk about why I did what I do. Thanks!

Livestreaming
Posted 9 years agoHey folks, I still live even if I don't post any more. I live streamed last week, first time in years, and one of my buds said I should have announced it here. So today, 11:45 or so EST, I'll be streaming me working on a page of the long overdue Smatt and Terry comic. At that time, I'll post a link. Anyone's welcome though be warned; I sometimes swear and sing along to whatever iTunes dishes up.
Free comic!
Posted 10 years agoHey, I know I'm a dead presence here, but still... I've dropped the price of my comic, "The City Dreams of Tamino the Cat" to nothing. Free. Gratis. I did not post the whole thing before, it was only released in full through Gumroad and the iTunes bookstore. So, if you want a free PDF, go here and download it. I'll likely soon just close the store altogether.

Patreon (not mine)
Posted 10 years agoHey folks. An artist friend of mine, Anthony Scott Waters, who has worked on over 100 cards for Magic: The Gathering, has done work for D+D, video games and animation has opened himself a Patreon. This is someone who's been in Spectrum, I believe, five times. He's a pro's pro, a creator of stunning visuals. And now he's opening a project to public funding. I've been lucky enough to read most of the first draft of the project and it's -really- good. There will be illustrations. Big, juicy illustrations. If you've ever thought about becoming a patron of someone, to help them achieve their dream of truly making a living off their own work, this is the place to go. At the very least, please go take a look:

Remember me? Movie review videos to watch
Posted 10 years agoSo hey folks. I don't really post the art here any more for a couple of reasons. I still make it, I just post it elsewhere; mostly tumblr, my blog and flickr. One of the other things I've been doing lately is to take my generally unknown movie review blog, "The Movie Wrench" and make it into a vlog. There are two reviews so far, one for "X-Men Days of Future Past," and the other for "Prometheus." You can watch them here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nq-.....p;spfreload=10
And here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PrWBOGBwrmw
If you do watch them, I can promise a goofball (that's me) as well as some thought out critique AND potential solutions, something generally missing from most negative reviews. So enjoy, won't you? Thank you.

Where are you coming from?
Posted 11 years agoHey you kind folks that have been favoriting odd pieces in the past couple of weeks, where are you coming from? I haven't been posting to FA for a month or so because of the recent unpleasantness. While I've never been a popular artist, I can't figure out why there have been notes coming my way here and there. Is something going on that I don't know about? In any case, thank you. Each view and favorite means a lot to me.
Ursa Major Awards
Posted 11 years agoHey folks. It's Ursa Major time. For those who don't know, it's the fandom's version of the Hugo, given out each year for the best in anthro work, ranging from literature to graphic novels and beyond. Since Tamino came out last year, it's eligible for a nomination and I'm asking your help in at least getting it nominated. I did so myself, but it needs more than just the one vote to qualify. The link for the nominations page is:
http://www.ursamajorawards.org/nominations.htm
The link for Tamino itself is here:
https://gumroad.com/l/FiTgt
There are a lot of other folks up for consideration as well, and their recommended list has lots of stuff worth looking at in case you missed some of the things out there. That list isn't the only stuff you can choose to nominate and stuff on the list isn't automatically nominated, so if there's something else you want to nominate while you're there, by all means do so.
For any that nominate Tamino, thanks!
