A letter to my brain

Dear Brain,
You've betrayed me again. I had thought we were past this. For you see I specifically remember about 5:30 PM last eve informing you that we had left both my hoodie and my earbuds in the van and we should go down and get them. I have since enjoyed further use of my earbuds. And yet it is now the morrow where it is again colder outside than I should like to tolerate long enough to walk the dog... and we are inside.... and the hoodie is not.
That I shall now traverse the cold to retrieve my precious envelope of warmth and nostalgia is a crime I shall charge you with even knowing you will force me to forget it in about 15 minutes time. Yet I still say to you Brain that this is the ultimate betrayal.
