Wild Nights
2 months. That's how long I've been in Oklahoma, 2 months and nothing but warm welcomes I have received. They say this is the "Bible Belt" area and yet I have not once felt threatened.
Coming back from Wild Nights I feel conflicted. Not because I felt threatened, but because of lack of organization. A lot of the events were either delayed or canceled. Some never let people know that they were started, so a lot of furs other than myself missed out on a lot. However I am informed that someone new created and maintained the schedule. That being said my only comment is that everyone makes mistakes.
I'm guilty of it myself. I learned how not to use a hammer and that you should scout out the competition when looking to get a badge instead of impulse buying or feeling guilty for saying "no" to someone. My new badge, lovely as it is cost $40 where as everyone else charged a max of around $25. I have learned from these mistakes and will keep them in mind for next time.
Regardless what I was able to attend, scheduled or not, was fun for me. Yet it left me always wanting more. Missed out on the dance... Again, but I dun regret it. I'm not a moshpit dancing kind of guy, more like a slow dance wif the one you love type.
Met a few new furs and shared experiences and useful advice like places to get descent PCs and that I should never... Ever... Drink again. (Note to self: Give Kairu what's left of my Rum Chata) Apparently I drink it too quickly and spiral downwards within seconds. Even broke down in front of Elverag (Something about being alone I think. Its all blur to me)
