It has been a while since my last journal, nearly ten years. It feels like a lifetime.
My last journal was about my first time repeating a con, namely FWA 2011. Since then,
I have been to about 18 other cons, earned a bachelor's degree,
moved three times, started graduate school, and began a career. I had wondered why I
stopped writing journals, then again thinking about it, life was happening.
At that time I was washing dishes for Cracker Barrel, and I was taking my first
class at UAB. Now I'm working as an engineer in Huntsville, and getting close to finishing my
master's degree.
With all that has happened , for most of the past decade furry has had to take
a backseat position in my life. Despite this, I did go to a furry con every year from 2010-2019,
technically the whole decade. In fact it took a pandemic to keep me from going to a con, lol.
Anyway, I am writing this journal to say I miss the fandom in a lot of ways, and cannot wait until
2021.
