Hey all, were getting close to the new year so i wanted to post a journal detailing a few of my resolutions and any changes. This will be a bit of a read, but ill highlight the important bits.

First, about my schedule. Since I can never seem to keep a consistent sleeping schedule, my testing schedule for january will be Wednesday through Saturday, 5p to 12a CST. This may change, but if it works itll be the normal going forward! I dont want to set any unrealistic expectations by saying this is a permanent change just yet, so were just gonna roll with it and see how it plays out.


Second, where im posting. Ive had a lot of time to sit with my thoughts, and deliberate with peers and friends. Ill likely go back to posting on twitter on the first of the year. Unfortunately too many of my friends and clients dont really have the time or investment to use any other social media (i dont blame them. Artists have the responsibility to have as much visibility as they can, but the average consumer is usually content with just one. And youre either there, or youre not.). My reason for stopping all posts on twitter was due to the revision of the block feature and the addition of using any post for AI. While this was just known for using the internet, it was so intentional it wasnt something i was okay with. But i realise now my issue stems from wanting legislative change to generative AI and automation. So, ill be updating my carrd to reflect where im able to keep up posting. Right now its FA (you are here!), bsky, twitter, and tumblr.


Third, commissions and commission prices. As usual, if any of you have known me for any length of time you know i hate raising my prices. But unfortunately, i will be doing so in 2025. I want to cut back on the amount of commissions i have to do in general while still being able to survive. Cutting back on amount of commissions means i can spend a bit more time on each piece in general. So youll be getting more bang for your buck, i get a little extra in my pocket, and im less stressed because ive got 500 different things to do at one time.

I really want to focus on doing more animations in 2025 also! 2024 was about doing more backgrounds and environments and I feel like i met my goal pretty decently! I painted quite a bit this year. And next year i want to do the other thing that has always given me joy.

I want to keep taking care of myself, like i have been trying to. I dont remember if i ever posted here about this, but for about half the year i had to go through testing and clinic visits because they were worried i had cervical cancer. I still havent gotten a total all clear yet, but theyre not as worried about it as they were. It also doesnt help that my doctor only has availability once a year for me, so we make do. I otherwise have to just go see my regular doctor for check ups to make sure im mostly normal. Its less scary for me now, but ive just accepted every outcome. Its .. put a lot into perspective for me. Having a few months in crisis mode really does that to someone, i guess. Lol. My mental health has also been getting some TLC. Its been much needed after the events of the past few years. Ive been healing my inner self that i just .. neglected for way too long.



So, there wasnt a lot! Ive got a few days, so i might revise or add to this a little bit. But thats about it! Pretty basic stuff. I try to post one of these at the start of every year, so it was time for this one. not much is changing. Were still out here, still doing our best.
