Mid Year Update on Life
3 years agoHello everyone,
First, I'm sorry for not being super active on here, it's been a rough year in many ways thus far... a great deal of that has been hustling to have enough for food, pet food for our house furry babies, gas, and electricity (food and electricity are... a bit touchy right now) My health has been... questionable at best in the past couple weeks specially, maybe it's the stress? I've been trying hard to ignore minor symptoms, and taking what medication I do have for more serious health issues.
We also started this year with really big commission projects, so since that is taking time, I've been pushing some adoptable designs, but the base style didn't seem to do too well. I might try to do just regular, spontaneous ones here and there.
Secondly, I'll be starting paperwork, and training to work in the next month (hopefully, ALL fingers crossed) so commission times might extend a bit in more complex pieces. If that makes you uneasy, I'd advise payment plans according to progress done. I probably won't have nearly half of the time I do currently, or the energy...
Third, my parents are going back to our home country, and so I will have to. My country will be voting a new Constitution draft, one that I really disapprove of, so even though I've never participated in elections before, I will this time. While I do not belong to any political party, nor I'm interested in politics in general, some things, and the dangers they pose are too great to stay silent. These are truly dangerous times in general, but the claws of recession and the new political party in the current presidency make it downright terrifying. We are terrified. As are many of my compatriots. Our country might get seriously ruined, and become unlivable... like the current totalitarian regimes across South America. I don't discard having to run from my own country for safety's sake in the future.
There are dark times ahead.
