this past year has been a wild journey but things continue to get overall better. a lot of growth, learning about and accepting myself, recognizing the extent to which I was abused in the past and how that's affected me. coming to a deeper understanding of my gender fluidity. I've been on both testosterone and estrogen for the past year (edit: clarification, I started T last year, I've been on E since ~2015), finally getting my hormone balance to a good place in September. I've struggled a great deal with my parts and their traumas, fought through a lot of terror and pain.

But I am here and I'm living a life I feel happy with, and I am confident it will keep getting better.

Lately I'm learning how to draw fish for a game project we're working on about fishing in caves. And last week, for the first time I can remember in over a decade, my art gave me real joy and pride not because it was a technical achievement but because it made me happy.

I'm excited to see what the future holds. I'm not just surviving life anymore.
