I want to be a veterinarian!

 Like most of us on this site I absolutely LOVE animals, I want all of them to live happy healthy long little lives, being a vet has been a dream of mine ever since I was a kid watching Animal planet in pure wonder and joy. The 5th grade field trip to the ASPCA really sold it to me when we where taken to the  back of the shelter and got got to see the adoptable animals. Adorable. Then when I was 15 years old I would volunteer at all the pet stores and shelters they have around in my town, things where looking pretty good for me career wise until two years later where I bring up my passion to my mother and father who where un happpy about it. They said things like "there's not alot of money in that feild you should take up a trade in welding" this continued and things turned into money this, money that. Money money money!! 

At the time I was volunteering 28 hours at an animal hospital/pet and farm supply store, selfishly my mom and dad stopped giving me rides there every day so I tried biking till my bike was stolen. I was so upset, the bus routes didnt go around or even near it. To top it off I had my mom and dad putting down my dream to have my own non kill animal shelter and told me that they will not pay the funds for my schooling but will support me getting a trade. 



I'm 18 now, I have no clue on what to do. I want to be a vet and save the poor little animals who where just thrown away like garbage and car for them until adoption day. But I need to get education before that and I am un able to. I just don't know what to do...
