For many of you this has been a long time coming, but I have finally released the first chapter of the sequel to Tropical, Autumn Woods. This story will be posted in chapters approximately once a week over at my SoFurry account. The direct link to my SoFurry account can be found on my main page, but I will include the direct link to the first chapter in this journal.

Tropical started with the character, Rye, an otter, going into his final year of general studies. He had already made a commitment to join the military upon graduation but he finds himself regretting the decision when a new student enters the school that year. One year younger than Rye, there is another otter named Cloud who had just moved to the city under unknown reasons. He is new but confident in his studies and social behavior, making the veteran student become infatuated with the Cloud. Neither are ready to reveal their interest in each other but they become great friends regardless, that eventually evolves into something more for the two male otters.

Spoilers ahead for those who haven't read Tropical. Do not read ahead unless you've completed reading the full posted story of Tropical.

Autumn Woods picks up after Rye returns from his three-month long training. Cloud, and some of his friends, are waiting to pick up Rye at the port. They know he's on limited time until he returns to the military after graduation so Rye is determined to spend as much time with his boyfriend as he can. The time he spends with the other otter, he learns a great deal more about him, but also that some old conflicts still linger at home.
