As much as I DONT want to do this my situation has changed. Last week I only made $500 for the whole week bc my job was slow- we're a third party contract company that gets unit pay so I'm paid per project as opposed to hourly. This is a double edged sword bc I can either have REALLY good checks or lousy checks. The company that we get work from was mainly on vacation last week so they didn't have much work coming in for us. The check Im getting paid tonight is a lousy check. This USUALLY isn't too big of an issue but this is my rent check. All my other bills are paid except my $1599.00 rent. I'd originally planned for this! I'd asked my mom to help me with Januarys rent for Christmas and that's all I wanted. And she was going to! However!! Her washer and dryer both conveniently broke/piping is clogged/something happened in the utility room that made her have to pay for a new washer and dryer AND for someone to come and dig up the yard and fix the plumbing.

Because of this, she's no longer able to help me with rent. On the 30th we got a fun little email saying the online portal will be down til we hear from this apparently new leasing management...I used the portal to split rent into one 1000 payment on the first and one 600 payment on the 15th of every month. And now I can't. So they're expected full rent as a money order by the 5th of this month.

So not only did they fuck me over but the whole complex is PISSED. Understandably. But little we can do about it. Even moreso the 5th lands on a Sunday this month...so really that means I have to have a 1600 money order given to the leasing office by THIS Saturday.

I'd been struggling for weeks because of slow season + getting sick and now this...not a good way to start 2025 but at least (?) I'm alive.

ANYWAYS. Now that y'all know the backstory this is where I say my commissions are URGENTLY open. I need to try to make $600 by Saturday or risk having to pay $75 a day + rent for every day I'm late. Plus a blow to my credit score which I've worked my ass off getting to the high 600s.
