not sure why I made this account as Surrealism is literally past history (quite archaic being that it's from the 20s) and one should aspire for pushing the avant-garde into new directions and new movements. though if you're a pop-surrealist, then I don't know, keep doing paintings of nazi-mickey mouse devouring the young of the hamburglar.

surrealism (with a lowercase 's') doesn't have much place within this site either way aside from the countless niche fetishes that don't amount to much intellectually

speaking of which, I really don't want anything to do with the other "avant-garde" and pseudo-intellectual groups (such as the 'nihilist' group) as I see little manifestation of refined execution of base concepts as established by noted predecessors that others on this site are attempting to mimic and understand

ultimately these groups are just fronts for juvenile clique circle-jerks and uploads of the result of someone spending too much time on MSpaint

as for my own understanding of the avant-garde, philosophy, etc., all that I have to say is that "I know one thing, that I know nothing"

if you're seriously looking for information, discussion, lecturing, etc. on these matters, I would suggest seeking out a more formal institution such as a university or online resource of some sort
