Old saying to go with this "Beggars Can't Be Choosers" and yet so many think that they should get a 100 dollar steak dinner art equivalent for free. No, you are gettign something for free, the artist out of the goodness of their heart and a desire to have their work seen has offered something for nothing in hopes of appreciation and praise, not scoffs and rejection. I always appreciate free art, I love seeing a chance for some or open requests, I feel good for giving someone the opportunity to practice their skills and craft in exchange for something I cant' do myself, perhaps the stupid complaining twits should attempt to do this themselves before giving someone else crud about their work
