A birthday present for a friend of her dog Captain. He is a Taiwanese street dog and the only thing they can say for some certainty is that he's got some samoyed in him. He's a cool and detached guy, but very sweet. I had intended to draw this as a normal pet portrait, but somewhere along the line it became an exercise in shading using different colours. And despite Captain being white, I deliberately didn't use any white at all in this drawing. The closest I think I got was sky blue.
