An interesting thing is that the hiking part of Douglas Mountain occupies only a small part of what might be considered the whole mountain.

Most of the slope has roads, houses and farms. Sure it's a bit isolated and when there's snow and ice, roads that are all slope can be treacherous.
But damn, to be able to go to your backyard and see thatevery damn day?

Totally worth it
