Heh, that pic comes with a funny background story. Believe it or not, this pink alien girl is even older than my (supposed :P) main character, Mellany Mellons. :3
Allison Coplec was created between 1999/2000 (this pic was made in 2001), and her design was somewhat inspired on several references, like the alien girl from 1962 Chuck Jones'cartoon "Martian Through Georgia"; the 80's cartoon series "Snorks"; and sexy space heroines such Jean-Claude Forest's "Barbarella" and Alfonso Azpiri's "Lorna".
Originally, I planned to make her as a heroine on adventure comics, similar to most of the content found on "Heavy Metal magazine". But later I gave up this idea in benefit to a different plot: A comedic series following her professional footsteps on a (almost entire) metropolitan planet.
However, I never had enough guts to start the comic. -_- I always think it's missing something to develop the plot a bit more, as well as the kind of gags. Over the years, her design was improved on several sketches, but she was never presented publically, until now. Finally, I decided it's time to release this character and, maybe, know what to do with her. :P
On the next days I'll upload some other pics based on Allison's universe. :3
