I did this doodle a while back when I first got my cintiq companion 2. It was the very first thing I painted on my new tablet! Played around with a limited palette.
Now that I have a portable workstation, I can go all the way to the dragon's lair to paint him!
A gift for a dear friend,
tarkustralszar
Tarkus: "Get my good side. Are you getting my good side?"
Me: "Tarkus, you don't have a good side, all of your sides are good."
Tarkus: "Oh.." *shifts scales in the sunlight pridefully* "You're right."

this is an amazingly cute idea. Though i am wondering if in the pic he is doing it digitally or is it on paper? ( the dragon seems to have a paper in his hand )... I'd imagine if they are on paper to him it would be like getting a postage stamp made of him.
It is still adorable and the dialogue is too!
Great job!

well it looks to be about the size of a postage stamp by comparison. So he wouldn't have to be THAT dexterous. but yeah now he can view them as projections or have them printed on one of those huge rolls of paper or just get a really big screen and have it displayed like that. Digital gives you so many possibilities!
Oh thanks! Well, altogether it is a bad idea to be around Tarkustralszar. He is a classic villain. What I think is so great about the character is how flawed he is, and truly terrifying. He only looks out for his own interests and if you have something he wants, you'll be lucky to get out alive after he gets it. He's not invincible, and if he perceives you as a threat hes prepared to fight or flee to protect himself. If actually around Tarkus, I don't see how anyone wouldn't be intimated. He is cunning like the classic dragons of old, and his wits are as sharp as his claws
But this image isn't really canon x3 its just a cute picture I did for a friend, using his usually much more violent character. In a make believe world adjacent to the make believe world he actually lives in, where I can go to his temple and draw while he sings me opera because hes happy, lol.

Well x3 there probably isn't a dragon that size in the world he lives in. There can be endless one-upping on the internet, but in his cohesive fiction, he is a monumental terror. And I doubt he would "take on" a larger dragon if there were one. I also prefer orchestra! But there is something very charming about a dragon singing opera..
It includes dragons so no xD its fiction. But it does incorporate a lot of history too. Its a world were dragons exist and are vital in the fighting of wars throughout history, This one takes place during the Napoleonic wars and is by Naomi Novik. Very, very good story about a dragon and his rider/companion.
