Wasn't that close to two years ago? An the cast has almost tripled since in the manga. Course, that's just base observation, I'm not an animator nor the writer so I dunno the whole story behind it. I just know I like the the characters, an Mia being the first monster girl has a special place in the heart
The price point is mainly for the huge length of 26 feet, and unusual details such as the printed face, hair, outfit, and specialty materials. (That, and the fact that this dakimakura was priced so high, and it's like a 2D version of this plush.)

Can`t say that I`ve ever seen anything like her before. Truly an impressive piece of art. Although I have to admit that her face (at least from afar) kinda creeps me out.
Considering her lengh, the accessories and everything else, I think her pirce is more than justified.
