To be fair, those aren't mutually exclusive things (crows have beak feathers too, they're just not as long, the same goes for leg fluff). I can even find you the exact reference of a crow I used if you want. :p The difference between a crow and a raven is a matter of a pinion, aye?
Not really. Ravens are bigger, smarter, and generally more badass than crows. ^v^
And while crows do have a bit of nose feathers and leg fluff, what you have here is distinctly raven style. The beaks are also strikingly distinctive, when you know what to look for.
I have lived around both pretty much all my life. I know the differences quite well.

not sure if that joke flew over your head or not
The thing is, there's no reference point here as to how I would draw a crow vs a raven. To be honest, I'm not appreciating you being a pedant towards how I'm drawing a crow incorrectly, especially on something as simple as a couple sketches. I'm not saying that you're wrong, sure, there are things I could have done to make it look less like a raven, but quite frankly these things you're pointing out are unwarranted because I didn't openly ask for critique. Drawing and posting a thing only to be told that it looks like something else months after you drew it kinda sucks as an artist who isn't seeking feedback.

I got the joke. I have just heard it so many times I don't tend to respond to it. There just isn't enough variety of bird jokes, and most of them I have had told to me repeatedly.
I apologize. I so rarely get feedback on anything I post anywhere, that I often forget that some others don't want it.
