Transient has always preferred travelling alone.
Finding a lost child kind of put a damper on that. She is trying to get him home. But there's a whole bunch of messy underground crimey whimey stuff surrounding the disappearance of his parents, etc. And Transient can't get law enforcement involved on account of her <i>own</i> circumstances. So--these two more or less wind up stuck with each other for a long, long time.
It's not so bad, though.
