Ack... sorry for the poor quarity. I have no scanner here at the moment, so I took a picture with my phone. D:
Recently I haven't drawn much because I've been so busy with moving, but I finally sat down and doodled for an hour or two, and this was the result. C: I really love sharks, and decided it should be the first thing I draw in my new sketch journal.
Just in case someone wants to know: it was sketched in pencil and finalized in ballpoint pen. Pencil smears too easily, so I don't like keeping things in pencil. D:
I want to finish this with color when I get a scanner, and maybe add a frontal view, which is pretty hard without reference. D8; This will be scrapped when I post the finished version.

no just swiming, the water git really cold and my mother always said thats when sharks are around. I didn't really listen cause the water was a little cold anyway. Then something brushed past my leg, I look down and see a shark almost the size of a dog swiming around me. I paniced but was too scared to move, but after a few minutes it didn't do anything so I pet it to see what it would do and after that it seems to have fallen in love because it fallowed me for an hour just to pet it xD
Thanks! I actually did the lines myself... I have a habit of making a rectangle before drawing, to encourage me to not draw too close to the edge. XD (But in case you're still wondering, it's a Hand Book Journal, and by far the best sketchbook I've ever had the pleasure of using. I'd really recommend them, since they can take light washes of watercolor and different media really well)
Ahhh, okay. I thought so. I'm the same way, I like to give myself a border, mostly because I'm an illustrator, haha.
Hm. I think one of my instructors might have used one of those. As well as some of my fellow students. I'll definitely check it out though! I work in watercolor, so being able to throw washes over my sketches will be beneficial. Thanks for the awesome reply!
