My current fascination, Mari Lwyd( the grey mare) A really cool and creepy welsh Christmas tradition. Even better than Krampus in my book. So much fun to paint but I'll most likely never sell the original or even a print. But who cares, it make me happy! Here's a link if you want to read about it!

Have you ever seen one of these? Not sure how common the practise is. Love Wales, toured through there a few times and always want to go back.

It's not super common, but I did live in quite a rural village when I was a child and I did see it still being practiced there. I live in the middle of Swansea now, and I doubt most people would even recognise the tradition.

Oh that is so cool that you saw it. I love these old pagan traditions and hate they are being replaced with Santa Claus and his crew. I would like to see a resurgence of the practise!
