Ah, well besides a carbine obviously if they're gonna need none lethal option, something based on electrical stunning like a staff or a baton, or even some kind of stun glove.
Another tool that works in pretty much any setting is some form of gas grenades, either thrown or deployed via a launcher, here is of course room to get creative in a sc-fi setting, it could be simple tear gas or maybe if the setting is cruel enough, maybe a gas that makes everyone puke levels of nauseated.
Two simple ideas that sprung to mind, hope any of them where of any use ^^
