Missing my obvious Christmas deadline by weeks, I hope the lost time is worth it. This is a graphic pencil illustration depicting three characters from the Frank Capra holiday film It's A Wonderful Life. Visible in quadrant I is Henry Travers as the fallen guardian angel Clarence Oddbody. Visible in mostly quadrant II is Donna Reed as Mary Bailey. Positioned between quadrants III and IV is James Stewart as George Bailey.
The illustration is rendered on a 14 inch by 11 inch sheet of smooth Bristol. Because of the limits of my scanner's window, I did my best to turn two scans into a seemless composite. I have exhausted a few of my soft graphite pencils and might have to purchase more.
I have framed the illustration in a Timeless Frames solid wood frame and am selling it on Etsy. The illustration can be purchased for $70 plus shipping. Your patronage is much appreciated.

I was in this play recently at my high school. Ever since, this movie has spoken to me in a very new light. I believe that you have captured that same light in your work.
Your values are superb. (I counted at least 20) Your details in Mary's dress are very lovely and well done. And of course, the emotion you have captured is phenomenal.

Your comment is very thoughtful and inspiring. I'm glad you appreciate the details that I put into Donna Reed's dress; there was a lot of detail to put in and I was a little afraid that I wouldn't capture it properly.
