In the video game "Persona 3" for the PS2, characters use gun-like machines to call forth creatures to help them in combat. They do this by pointing the machine at their heads and pulling the trigger.

That aside- Persona doesn't = Human. A persona is merely a character (the word meaning 'someone of personality'). Just because it's anthro doesn't mean it has to be a 'fursona', just because furries like to call it that. ;)
