During the month of February 2016, I did an art challenge in which I drew robotic versions several of my favorite Pokemon species, lasting 16 days (save for one delay). It was the most ambitious project I did at the time, and it was heavily inspired by a friend's project of drawing robotic Pokemon, which I referred to as "Robomon" (yeah, I wasn't that original). It was pretty fun! I was going to do a second one later that year, but it ended up being cancelled due to real life happenings.

To no surprise, I saved my two absolute favorite Pokemon, Mienshao and Floatzel for absolute last in the challenge. Yes, I am aware this robot Mienshao in particular looks similar to my Mienshao bot Alex (1), which was the point as he’s actually the same model as this robot here, albeit with minor differences such as the color differences and a slightly different pose as this was drawn from scratch.

Regardless, Mienshao is really fun for me to roboticize, it just works well as a robot for some reason, to the point where I roboticized it numerous times.

Day 15: Robot Mienshao

- ELEMENT: Fighting
- ABILITY: Inner Focus/Regenerator
- ENERGY SOURCE: Rechargeable Electrical Battery
- METHOD OF COMMUNICATION: LED mouth-light (mouth glows blue when talking)
- COOLING SYSTEM: Liquid coolant, excess moisture condensates through nose (wet nose)

ADDITIONAL ABILITIES AND FUNCTIONS:
- Can project holographic arm whips from digital constructs on arms which can be used as weapons.
- Can store objects as data and create tools and weapons from these constructs
- Whiskers are highly flexible and can be used as radio antenna
- Neck and waist are made of a flexible metal that can allow his body to maneuver quickly.
- Can move up to 70 mph/121 kph
- Has spring-loaded legs that can allow it to jump up to 90 ft/27 m.
