Legend has it that those who set foot within or anywhere near the sacred temple of the snake queen shall be devoured by the spirit of the snake queen herself...
... What the legend doesn't tell you is that the snake queen is true live, not a spirit.
Y'see, that's how she lures in her prey, making the foolish explorers tackle a challenge, refusing to believe in ancient spirits, only to waltz right into the ultimate trap, that of her waiting mouth.
And she has no issue slithering her way through the temple, slurping up any tasty explorers in her sight.
The snake queen is quite pleased.
