Thank you very much for visiting. Advanced criticism and professional advice are strongly encouraged.
The artwork featured in this submission is a rendering of my latest AutoCAD solid model design: a Chess set that I have named "Alpha Set" to serve as a next generation to the Chess set that I originally designed over four years ago. Every object in the model has been built from scratch and I am utilizing some of the render materials from AutoCAD's library for this rendering.
This model is the product of a day's dedicated labor. The pieces are not incredibly elaborate and are all based on a theme of filleted cylinders. The REVOLVE and ARRAY commands were heavily employed in the construction of the pieces. I am also again using my Sub Project Database Template for organizing the data and using XREFs heavily in the construction of this final scene.
My reason for quickly constructing a new Chess set was to use it as a stock prop in future AutoCAD projects. A slight problem with this is that I had not anticipated how long it would particularly take to render just the model alone. The vast number of filleted edges is mostly likely the main culprit in the fiendishly-long render times this scene takes. Personally, I still like how beautifully the render materials appear to me and there might be ways for me to trim down the model's complexity for using it as a background prop.
Again, I appreciate your visit. Have a safe and wonderful day.
