Today marks the 30th anniversary (shivers from feeling old) of the premiere of one of the most influential animated shows of the 1990s, the Emmy-winning Steven Spielberg's "Tiny Toon Adventures," which was also Warner Bros. Animation's first original/non-anthology TV series. I really enjoyed this cartoon as a kid (not as much as "Animaniacs"), and enjoy it even more at an older age now that I can understand the references and innuendos even better. One thing people remember about the show's first season was the numerous animation houses Warner subcontracted their episodes to, with one of them being Kennedy Cartoons and their distinctively bouncy and inconsistent animation, which many fans disliked and Warner was dissatisfied with; worth of note was founder Glen Kennedy often animating in a super-bouncy and cartoony animation style, something that felt out of place with the rest of the show's style (even when I was younger I referred to Kennedy's animation as "the weird animation style" of the show.) Stuff like this eventually led to Kennedy Cartoons being fired from the show after the first season, but they quickly found work with Disney anyways (on shows like "Darkwing Duck," "Goof Troop" and "Bonkers.") I also enjoyed Glen Kennedy's animation on "A Pup Named Scooby-Doo" from two years before this series, and it worked a lot better there. So of course, I just had to have Zak Wolf do a couple of common Kennedy Cartoons poses, including the infamous kick-dance!
