(Grey Side)
When Grey and Cedric reappeared, Cherry was waiting for them.
"You two done w/ your moment?" Cherry asked calmly.
Cedric nodded.
"Good, now then," she said while holding her hand out.
Cedric sighed and put some of the money in his pocket. He gave the rest to Cherry.
"Thanks, bitch!" she said while flying off.
Cedric then turned to Grey and held out his left hand. Grey took it, and the two went over to the kitchen.

(Az. + As. Side)
After Azrael separated from Asmodeus once they reappeared in their alleyway, he addressed his partner.
"Why didn't you drink the SOUL?" Azrael asked.
Asmodeus took the dark red SOUL out right then and there.
"HEHE, don't you see? I want to wait until tomorrow to drink it, HAHA!" Asmodeus cackled.
"Why?"
"I don't feel like now is the right time, HEH HEH. I'd rather wait until tomorrow to finally drink it, HA. Though, at the same time, I won't drink it here."
"Hm?" Azrael asked curiously.
"No, HAHAHA, I will bring us back to our starting point. There, I will achieve my true form w/o interruption, and maybe more, HEH HEH!" Asmodeus cackled out.
He then tremblingly covered Azrael. The cloak shook so much, Azrael found it pretty uncomfortable. Azrael, w/ a heavy heart, ran forward to find food.

(Grey Side)
The rest of the day was pretty uneventful, aside from two things. The first was that Cedric taught Grey how to make chicken alfredo. It felt pretty complicated, but luckily, it wasn't too hard, plus the result was tasted great. The second was Cherry and Benjamin were actually getting along now. It felt pretty strange considering that before, Ben didn't like her that much, but now, it was as if they'd always been best buddies. Aside from those things, though, it was a pretty average day. When bedtime came, Cedric and Grey slept together just as they had been doing for the past two days. Cedric fell asleep pretty quickly, but Grey found himself unable to sleep despite Cedric's warm body embracing him.
Something terrible is going to happen tomorrow. I know it, Grey thought worriedly.
He then took his SOUL out. At the moment, it was at its default color, gray. Grey then changed it to every color he'd acquired over that last week. Orange (BRAVERY), green (KINDNESS), purple (PERSEVERANCE), cyan (PATIENCE), yellow (JUSTICE), blue (INTEGRITY), and finally red (DETERMINATION). He then thought about everything that had happened ever since he'd fallen into this place. He thought about the family who'd accepted him, the hardships he'd gone through, his personal growth, and, most of all, his loving relationship w/ Cedric. If he had been told that all of what had happened to him would happen back when he still lived in that one room, Grey would never have believed it. But now, he had lived through all of it. It was all unbelievable, and yet, it had happened. And whatever tomorrow had in store, Grey would make sure to try his hardest to protect all that had been given to him. The moment he realized this, he thought back to Cedric. He was contentedly nuzzling against Grey's neck in an OH SO satisfying way.
I WILL protect you. No matter what... Grey thought as he finally drifted off.

(Az. + As. Side)
After a pretty depressing day, Azrael used Asmodeus as a bed like he'd done ever they'd returned to this world. As Asmodeus made quiet, gravelly noises as he slept, Azrael found that he couldn't sleep. He knew that tomorrow was going to be horrible. In what way it would be terrible, he didn't know, but something would DEFINITELY go bad. He turned his face towards Asmodeus' fluff. Ever since the duo started collecting SOULs, it's appearance was rougher and more spiked, but it still felt soft as ever. Azrael began idly stroking the fluff, and he felt tears come to his eyes.
I wish I hadn't been so useless back then, Azrael thought depressedly. Then maybe..., maybe we wouldn't be in this mess...
Azrael then drifted off. Later, Asmodeus gave his partner/only friend a hug as they slept...
