Every birthday in Iraq was like that. Also had to be careful eating MRE's
It's a single meal with a caloric content for the day but, they're designed to "cork" you up
Had to keep the gum on you as it was a laxative to "get everything moving"
(Also not sposed to eat them for longer then a month and my unit ate em for a year!)

I got curious and looked this up, and it seems that the gum itself wasn't intended as a laxative, but the xylitol inside of it which helped keep your teeth clean would have that sort of effect if you were swallowing it and absorbing it into your system, as it tends to be a stimulating agent to your digestive system. Sounds like a bad time lol
Nice work using the bright yeloow colours to convey a warm environment. I love how you've got his disappointed expression and the detail of gear. I like how you've got a uniform set of distance to the characters so that as we look 'further' into the screen we get a sense of depth from the characters. Excellent use of lighting and colouring.
On a side note, I wish we could give this guy a hug and then give him a proper party with an actual cake. 😊⭐⭐⭐⭐🙌👍
