Sophie is a kind hearted though sometimes shy Lopunny who was a very popular Pokémon performer, excelling in the cute category. Though over time, she became bored with each Pokémon contest she won.
One day she became so bored that she decided to retire early from Pokémon contests and went off in search for adventure. She traveled to many different worlds, but nothing seemed to excite her enough to cure her boredom. Then one day, she visisted the new world, from Monster Hunter World, and happened to accidentally bump into Ethan and Alex while they were on an expedition in the ancient forest. She could tell from a glance that they were hunters, as she managed to obtain some information on the new world. She could also tell that something was amiss, both Lucario and Cinderace looked anxious and on guard, like they were running from something. They made it their priority to escort Sophie to the nearest camp for safety. As they escorted Sophie to the camp, fireballs started raining down from the sky, nearly hitting the trio. Sophie then saw what the boys were running from, an extremely angry Rathalos. Ethan ordered her to hide in some nearby bushes while he and Alex deal with the monster. She watched from her hiding place as the two engaged the monster. Both boys were starting to get exhausted from the battle as the Rathalos put up a lengthy fight. Finding the courage and excitement she was looking for, Sophie made a beeline for them and performed swords dance. Her move temporarily gave the two hunters enough strength to finish off the monster. With one last attack, the monster fell. Ethan and Alex thanked Sophie for her aid in defeating the Rathalos and offered to take her to Astera. Sophie thanked them for protecting and escorting her back to their HQ. Along the way, Alex asked Sophie if she wanted to join the research commission as a hunter. After seeing the two in action, Sophie eagerly accepted the offer to become a hunter. Then Ethan asked her if she had any family, which she replied with a no. Ethan offered her to join their family, the Ragtag Rogues, since she never had one in the first place. This question touched Sophie’s heart as she spent her whole life until now alone, and this Lucario was asking her to become a new addition to his family. With tears of happiness, she hugged her new brothers as she accepted Ethans offer. Once they were back in Astera, Ethan introduced her to the rest of the Rogues, Pampaku, Darny, Sandoku and Artisan, who welcomed her with opened arms. Soon after, Sophie became an official rookie hunter, armed with dual blades, since it suits her style of fighting with dance-like movements. At the end of the day, Sophie had not only found what she sought out, but found a new family to come along for the adventures that await.

Sophie is able to perform special dances during battle which can buff allies with attack, defense and speed boost. She can use her dual blades efficiently by incorporating her dance moves with her combos, weaving between monsters attacks and constantly damaging them.
