Hopefully they have breaks during their shifts, too--and on some sort of staggered schedule so the lines for the changing stations aren't too long!

Luckily, Rasmus is just a Mall Cupid so he probably doesn't have to worry too much about that.

I've honestly never cared for Valentine's Day as a holiday I just don't really see the point in it.

It just sort of seems like a huge corporate cashed grab Rather than anything. But ofcourse that's just my opinion, not a solid fact.

I'm not a fan of Valentine's Day either, it's right up there with Christmas (and to a lesser extent, Thanksgiving) for me as a 100% consumerism-driven holiday that feels entirely hollow and meaningless.
You know what holiday I *do* enjoy? Halloween. Not that I feel the need to wait until October to draw and post monsters, ghosts, macabre imagery and edgy and creepy shit--but it's the one time of year it's most acceptable.

But, since I draw cartoon animals in diapers, this was sort of required--Valentine's Day and New Year's Day both require a cartoon animal in a diaper be posted, it's in the rules.

Anyways, very glad you like this one! It was fun to draw, even if it's a tad on the "obligatory because tradition" side of things.

At least you got a job! Whatever pays the bills, right? 😝

I love how a one-off gag can turn into a solid backstory for a character, maybe Rasmus will find himself the perpetual victim of, err, volunteer for, all sorts of holiday-themed art. The idea that he's a young guy working a crappy retail job and he just happens to always be the one to dress up in silly costumes and whatnot for holiday promotions could be a good running joke.

I wonder how well he'd pass for an Easter Bunny or leprechaun...
