I actually find the difference of opinions so facinating between people sometimes. Like, you loved it (and I'm happy you could find enjoyment!)
meanwhile me and my friend watched it and it just felt like a lot of...nothing? like we just kinda watched it emotionlessly and without many reactions aside from pointing out contrivances or easily predictable plot points. And Sisu (again, this is all to us) in and of herself just took the movie down about 2 number grades. She's just such a tonal whiplash/dissonance from the rest of the movie which is meant to be more bleak and somber...then someone threw the village idiot in with naivetee and hopeless optimism to destroy any amount of potential weight the story could have.
basically, our take was great idea/concept, poor execution. The movie feels like it would have worked better as a 1 season miniseries so that it could have WAY more time to devlop characters, spend time on plot points, etc. The movie also feels like it's more of a glorified tech demo of "look how pretty it is!" because I wont deny the movie is fucknig beautiful to look at.
I'd actually LOVE to hear why you love the movie so much, if you're willing? I really wanna hear the other side of this!

I watched it; the plot is predictable a lot as well the characters' personality types the main characters stumble upon. I had a feeling the movie moved too fast from the middle to the end so we couldn't get more organic plot twists. Yeah, it was McGuffin quest story.
I enjoyed Sisu character tho movie makers should never use modern related metaphores in the movie like this. It was out of place. Thank f#ck they dropped that cringy digestion joke that was in one of the trailers.
The visuals were breathtaking too buy the music disappointed me because non got stuck in my memory.
I would never pay 30 USD to watch a movie, that's the cost for the 4 people family trip to a normal cinema here, including tickets and food. I watched the Arrr edition of the movie.

The character is unique enough, It doesn't have to be a sparkle dog to be interesting, the characterization was very well done for what it is.
In the end it's a children's movie, be thankful for the small mercy that filmmakers have realized that parents have to sit through them, too.
The sort of deep, adult movie that speaks to the fandom that many here seem to seek won't come out of Disney, if it ever comes, Zootopia/Zootropolis was probably the pinnacle what concerns that.
On the other hand 4th wall breaking is a thing I love, either directly or by "our reality" seeping into the movie, so I probably have a different perspective to that.
