Howdy, y'all! Aaaa I missed posting on the actual day, but Belated Happy International Asexuality Day from your local sex-favorable demisexual cowboy!
A fellow ace friend suggested that it might be nice for me to speak up about being on the ace spectrum, since there seems to be a common misconception that ace folks aren't interested in sex. It's not true! A good number of us love sex, we just find it appealing for different reasons than "saw hot body". (I myself love kink, and indulge in a philia!)
Being ace is a joy.
Nobody should tell anybody else how they should enjoy sex, or even that they should pursue having it at all. You certainly don't need sex to have beautiful & fulfilling relationships. We are worthy of pursuit, regardless of how we feel about sex. We make damn fine & extremely loyal partners.
I wish the allosexual (non-ace) community would recognize that more often.
And if you yourself are asexual, then just remember: you are not broken, and you do not have to settle. You are beautiful, and you are worthy of love, acceptance, and/or meaningful relationships, regardless of how you identify with sex.
Be strong, be proud, and be yourself! <3
Also, drawing myself in my binder as an experiment... Feels kinda nice to be truer to irl with my sona instead of drawing what I think people wanna see!
