My Goblins Made in HeroForge, Part 2
Here's the second batch of my HeroForge goblin creations. A lot of them were made during Tumblr's Goblin Week, which has happened every January for the past several years. Still, I put as much character as I could into each and every one of them. I must have made around a dozen this year at least.
Gobpetto the Jeweler is a diminutive type that takes his work very seriously. No one has a more discerning eye when it comes to spotting the fake gems from the real thing, and nobody will extort more extravagantly the conman looking for his approval in an appraisal. Gobpetto always appreciates the real thing when it's brought before him though, an adventurer down on their luck might be gifted a free look at their dungeon spoils and a great deal if they're any good. He has a soft spot for those who do hard work, and his desperate desire is to have someone to pass his craft down to someday. Gobpetto has special rates for and a particular interest in magical and occult jewelry and it's said he's looking very discretely for a Lifebringing Soul Gem, which can give permanent sentience to an inanimate object. He does woodworking in his free time.
Garrus the Gallant is a classic hero; chivalrous, naive, and with a knack for finding himself in strange, life-threatening magical situations, he always somehow comes out on top, though not without cost, i.e. his magitech mechanical arm. Garrus never turns down a challenge, or a quest where valor and glory may be the only reward. Oddly, he's refused many a king the offer of marrying their daughters after saving the kingdom. He's made a name for himself as a brave and unwaveringly kind fellow and is known on the merchant caravan highways as "the fool goblin on the scruffy pony that you can't help but like".
Greenglass the Merchant is a sight for sore eyes for those crossing the treacherous and cursed Sands of Time Desert. An extremely amiable fellow with a rich accent and a generous nature, in spite of the reputation of goblins and of merchants, he has seen countless adventuring parties nursed back to health and from deadly magical ailments. His services are remarkably affordable, it's a surprise he's still in business when he charges such paltry sums, but he always seems well-stocked and supplied, and his accommodations in his trademark purple tent are always luxurious with silk cushions and the finest food and drink. Greenglass's origins are mysterious, but he tells the parties that stop with him excellent fairytales around the fire that may give cryptic hints.
