I've always loved typewriters, and I thought I'd share some of that love with all of you. And what better way to do that than to post a sample of writing from my oldest typewriter, a 1946 Remington Rand Deluxe Model 5. But this story isn't about that typewriter, it's about how I got my first one. A Royal KMM.
I want to do more stuff with typewriters, so we'll see how this goes. The scan didn't quite do it justice, but I'm hoping that I can find a way to fix that, (or get a better scanner) if I keep this up.
I also have a bit of an idea for a project where I work something up say once a week or two depending on how fast I can get them put together and post it. We'll see how that goes, might depend on how much time I have to work on stuff.
Anyone else out there love these old machines and / or still use one?

Nice little story. If I just found a typewriter in the woods, I'd be ecstatic.
My mother has an old Royal that's almost a hundred years old and I have a Smith-Corona 5s silent I bought last summer (which I use regularly).
