Taylor is a vegetarian by choice. She loves all things fruit and vegetable and has a hankering for sweet stuff, especially if it includes apples! Once in a while, she enjoys a patch of grapes and is talented enough with her tongue to eat a bunch whole and work off every grape from the stem, leaving nothing but a skeleton husk of stems. Ahya is also hungry when Taylor gets hungry and so tries her best to steal said food straight out of her paws - so Taylor has to be quick sometimes in getting said food down her throat!

I'm all for some good maws as much as any other maw enthusiast.
But your description reminded me of a few questions I had about these kinds of tail maws. Forgive me for choosing you for these questions and if mistaken anything.
You mention in the description that Ahya (the tail?) Tries to steal the food from Taylor. Does the consumed food end up in the same stomach? An and does this mean that Ahya has the same level of sapient intelligence as Taylor? Or is it more in tone with that of an animal?
Oh, sorry 1 more. How dose the tail maw perceive the world around it? Does it just see through Taylor's senses?
Again sorry for the gush questions. Beautiful character design and art mixed with curiosity is a curse.

A lot of this is described/answered in her book(s). But to be brief:
- The consumed food does end up in the same stomach: Taylor's. It's just that they're both hungry at the same time. :)
- Ahya does have sapient intelligence, it just can't relay that as well.
- Through taste and touch.
